West Ham 2007/2008 Home Kit – Official Pics

West Ham have, in partnership with kit manufacturers Umbro and XL (who offer cheap flights and cheap holidays to the Caribbean, in case you’re interested), have released their new home kit for 2007/2008.

The Umbro kits have been quality this summer and West Ham’s kit is no exception. The claret and blue contrast is well-done, the kit is simple without being plain and the blue on the sides of the shirt looks good too.

Although some people will criticise the whiteness of the XL.com logo (or the logo in general) I think it will look much better when West Ham actually play at home and people get to the see the kit in live action. I don’t think that a blue logo would have worked, so white was all they had.

Yes, XL could probably have invested in a better logo – but hey, they offer cheap holidays, what can you expect?

West Ham are lucky to have Umbro – it’s one of the better kits around.

Mte whats wrong with this planet. No gooner liked the arsenal kit and now no one likes this. Every kit for 06/07 is buetiful. exept the liverpoll n chelsea away kit, those pensioners (chelsea) look like my highlighter at school!!!

Umbro now makes THE BEST kits in football, Adidas has gone dwon now with the Chelsea and ‘Pool shirts but Nike are gud still

Looks good. Another decent umbro kit. Although the sponsor spoils the look of it somewhat.

Quite like the design. The badge is embroided (as apposed to the plastic badge on last years shirt). The only thing that will stop me from buying one (other than the mortgage…) is the horrible XL logo. I would buy one if there was an option without the sponsor. If anyone knows if this is possible, please let me know!

It’s a nice, contrasting shirt. Although, it does look as if they’ve misplaced the shirt size and made it unusually large. Maybe for the short-sited. Considerate…

[...] The kit is made by Umbro, and to be fair to West Ham the XL sponsor logo looks much nicer on the away shirt than it does on the home shirt. [...]

Im not suprised XL’s logo looks the way it does…It sells cheap things therefore has a stingy logo.

Its still a nice kit and the logo isnt that bad

Umbro, in my opinion have always made the most boring, unimaginative kits. C’mon, look at the England National Football kit? It’s complete shite! Adidas are up there for me and are always bringing out new designs which actually make you WANT to buy the kit. But in saying that, I think the new West Ham United Kit (Umbro) looks better than the new Aston Villa (Nike) kit. Nike have not had the best designs recently either… I mean, look at Manchester United’s kit. Is this what the champions of England is supposed to wear?

Lovely except for the sponsor which ruins it. The shades of claret and blue look more classic than in recent years.

Anyone who writes using “texting” language should be strung up. That includes West Ham fans (sadly).

The main problem with WH kit is that in certain children’s sizes and ironically in “XL” size it sold out BEFORE the start of the season and it’s only available via the Club so you can’t get it anywhere else. No more shirts in until October. So amateurish it’s an embarressment.
