Tottenham had two goals from Pavlychenko and one from Defoe to lead them to a solid 3-1 victory.

Spurs were the better team throughout the match and deserved the victory. Blackburn Rovers had few chances in the entire match but would make it 2-1 late in the second half with an 80th minute goal from Samba.

Tottenham would come back five minutes later with Pavlyuchenko’s second goal of the match to make it 3-1. It should have been even more for Spurs who didn’t get a call on a penalty that probably should have been called.
