Slovenia

Slovenia national football team played their first international football match in 1992 against Estonia after their split from Yugoslavia in 1991. Their first major tournament came in 2000 when they qualified for the Euros. They drew two out of the three group stage games and ended up at the bottom of their group.

Then in 2002, they made their second major tournament appearance as they were grouped with Spain, Paraguay and South Africa in the World Cup.

Then with an astonishing home record of 13 goals scored to one conceded in six games, Slovenia qualified for the World Cup 2010. Being on top of a group, which had England, USA and Algeria with them, they failed to progress to the Round of 16 after they lost to England and USA beat Algeria.
