Soccerlens Fantasy Football – Win a minimum of $1,000

I almost didn’t run this, but then I saw that the most popular group at SquadGod had under 300 members and I thought – can SL beat them?

I’m hoping you guys can, so please hop on over to the Soccerlens group at SquadGod, join and get started with your fantasy football team.

And yes, there really are $1,000 and £10,000 prizes up for grabs and there are only 2 days left till the signup deadline, so hurry up.

The winner of the Soccerlens SG group will win a minimum of $1,000, regardless of where he or she ends up in the overall SG rankings. The only caveat here is that for the $1k prize money to be valid, there MUST be 200+ members in the SL group. Right now there’s only me, but I expect you guys to blow me away with your support icon smile Soccerlens Fantasy Football Win a minimum of $1,000

In addition, I’ll be working each month to secure sponsors for the competition, meaning that by the end of the season there will be plenty of free stuff to go along with the cold hard cash. I’ve already got SubsideSports and Main Event hooked in to provide free shirts and La Liga match tickets – and I’m sure there will be much more to come.

So go ahead, sign up to the Soccerlens SquadGod group for a shot at an easy $1k. And make sure you tell your friends about it – I’m putting the $1k prize money up myself so I’d like to see some interest before parting with it icon smile Soccerlens Fantasy Football Win a minimum of $1,000

SG Rules

Note that the Soccerlens fantasy football game is open to all, free to play and someone could win £10,000 (The the £10,000 prize is open to all teams entered into default groups, such as the SL group, and the manager who’s team has the highest cumulative score at the end of the 2007-2008 premiership season will be eligible for the prize).

Game Rules:

  • Team budget: £100m
  • Formation: 4-4-2 or 4-3-3
  • Maximum players from 1 club: 2
  • Transfers: 1 free transfer per gameweek, additional transfers cost 20 points each, deducted at the end of the gameweek.

You get points for goals, assists, shots on goal, interceptions, passes, tackles, clean sheets and penalty saves.

You lose points for goals conceded (GKs and defenders only) yellow cards and red cards.

You also nominate a captain who will score a bonus 50% on all his points.

Welcome aboard guys – I’m sure you’ll be the most popular group in no time. I have a few selection tips of my own that I’d like to share with you.

Javier Mascherano – Liverpool -6.4m – should score highly for his passing and tackling.

Nijtap Geremi – Newcastle – 6.5m good free kicks – could be played as a midfielder.

Michael Chopra – Sunderland – 7m – did well at Cardiff, could be ‘worth a punt’ in a 4-3-3.

Daniel De Ridder – Birmingham – 5m – If he adapts well he should provided lots of assists

yea the budget is limited, but that’s the default group and that’s what allows you to qualify for the big 10k pound prize as well.

Anyway, we’re still WAY short of our target, so if you haven’t already, sign up!
