Sergio Aguero inherited the mantle of star striker at Atletico Madrid from Fernando Torres and on Tuesday night he showed exactly why, scoring two excellent goals in a 2-2 draw against Chelsea in the Champions League.
Aguero has been the subject of intense transfer speculation in the last 18 months, and there were claims by Atletico Madrid this summer that they rejected a £42m bid for the Argentina international.
The Chelsea Blog recently sat down with Sergio Aguero to discuss the Chelsea interest and whether he fancies playing in the English Premier League or not.
You can read the whole Aguero interview here – we’ve posted some excerpts below:
“Since I played in Independiente, English football has been one of my favourites. The speed and the way it is played have always made me feel that I could adapt myself to it quite easily.
“I used to watch the Premier League on TV, but I did not prefer any team in particular. However, Chelsea, Manchester United and Liverpool, especially in the last few years, are the teams that have caught my attention.
“Before my name was included in PlayStation football games, I used to choose Milan, Chelsea or Manchester United.”

Its nice to see that we may possibly have a chance in signing aguero. It can become more of a realistic idea if the selling of a stake to Prince Faisal , the saudi prince, actually goes through. That will gives the money we need to stick in the transfer market with the likes of our fellow teams like chelsea, man u, man city, and even arsenal. I hope it go through because with torres and aguero up front we could combined for a heinous amount of goals.
Liverpool are broke and failing, Aguero to Chelsea seems a bit more possible
They are broke for now, but if that goes through they will have the funds for the kid.
Failing? yeah maybe for this season, but you seem to forgot that there are some players that do like challenges, maybe he wants to help talk liverpool to the top? it would be different if they didnt have history, but they do, so the fact that they are failing, i find it completely irrelevant.
aguero is coming to STAMFORD BRIDGE for sure!!!
