La Liga club finally agree to Manchester United’s terms, €40m mega transfer expected in coming weeks

David De Gea confident about Manchester United exit

Tired of the daily David de Gea transfer drama, Real Madrid have found a solution to end this saga by doing what they are best at…paying the money that Manchester United are demanding all this long.

According to reports from Spanish newspaper El Confidencial, Real Madrid are reportedly willing to pay €40m to secure David de Gea’s signing.

Real Madrid club president Florentino Perez has decided to take the matter in own hands and will try to broker the deal at the earliest. For United, it doesn’t matter, who comes forward for negotiation, unless their valuation is met.

Louis van Gaal is aware that the chances of De Gea staying at the Old Trafford club is slim. The 24-year-old Spanish goal keeper has set his heart in joining Real Madrid, and it is difficult for him to focus on football at the moment.

De Gea wasn’t picked for Manchester United’s opening game against Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday, as Louis van Gaal explained the player wasn’t mentally prepared to play the game. The club has shown utmost respect to the player’s wishes, and that is all they could do from their end.

The 24-year-old has been training with the team, and he is being treated in a professional manner by the club. Real Madrid understand that the situation is not ideal, as a result they’re now ready to pay over the odds (which they felt at first place) for his signing.

The player is very anxious for the deal to materialize, but if the talks go smoothly, the deal should be completed in the coming weeks.

Meanwhile, another Spanish newspaper ABC claim that Manchester United have been handed an ultimatum by Real Madrid over the transfer of De Gea.

The Spanish club are willing to pay around €25m plus €5m as add ons, and it’s up to United to take or leave the offer.

De Gea’s agent, Jorge Mendes is reportedly in talks with both the clubs, and he expects United to accept the offer.
