Portsmouth 2007/2008 Home Kit

Portsmouth’s new 07/08 Home Kit is blue shirt and white shorts with splashes of yellow on the shoulders and sides. The keeper kit is all-green with white. The Pompey kits are sponsored by Canterbury.

It’s a ‘safe’ shirt – nothing spectacular, nothing to write home about. In a season where other clubs are going off their rockers in designing retro crests, offering tributes to past glories and going totally nuts, Portsmouth are playing it safe.

It’s not a bad kit – but it could have been worse (like Bolton’s) or much better (like Birmingham’s).

The Portsmouth 2007/2008 Away kit is due to be launched on 3rd August 2007 and the 3rd kit will be released on 3rd September 2007.

I think it’s pretty smart looking.

I love the fact this has finally come out.
There were some silly people (apologies if you are one of them) who seemed to think that a polo shirt/rugby style shirt that had been posted on the internet was going to be their kit for the season – despite it actually being clearly on the official Portsmouth website as just a leisure shirt to buy.

It had been posted on the internet as their shirt for the new season despite not even looking like a football shirt and Pompey not even releasing theirs until now – makes me laugh sometimes, when one quick look at an official site would clearly show whats a ‘real’ kit and what’s just a training/leisure top!

    Anyway, apologies, rant over… :-p

    Nice kit.

i wasn’t sure when i heard canterbury were gunna make the kit as they mainly do rugby shirts and haven’t (i dont think) been a maker of football shirts before but i have to admit it is a rather nice shirt and the goalkeepers also. i wander what the away kit will be like, im gunna go with the same style as the home kit but white :)

Yeah i was a bit uncertain as well, but it looks like Canterbury will be a good kit make for us. There supposed to keep energy in as well.

Any Irish Rugby supporters, take a look at the keepers jersey. Does it resemble any thing?

(Hint: The new Ireland rugby jersey!)
