Middlesbrough 2007-08 Home and Away Kits

Boro-HomeKit/AwayKit

Middlesbrough have released their 2007/2008 home and away kits. Nice shirts but could have a few more splashes and colour.

Middlesbrough have also got a new sponsor in Garman Sat-Nav, which is just a recipe for jokes about finding directions to the back of the net. Boro still have Errea as a sponsor and Errea really do need to get there act together and design some better kits.

The home shirt is quite nice, but should have some more splashes near the collar and under the arms, But the new crest looks very smart on the shirts. The away shirt is still a white kit and has a few more splashes and lines on it.

Overall these are the nicest Errea Middlesbrough kits I’ve seen for a while, and the white thick hoop has gone (some fans liked it, some didn’t) and I think more hoops would look nice on a home kit. Still these are some nice kits and the new Crest looks smart on the design.

  1. are you crazy, that kits perfect, why couldn’t nike come up with that for united. damn.

  2. I would of liked to have seen the white band continuing for another season but other than that, perfect

  3. I have to say I like the new home kit, but I’ve never been keen on white shirts for the away kit, the ‘gold’ shorts just look wierd. I always preferred the Inter Milan style black and blue stripes for the away kit.

  4. it looks like a league 1/2 shirt, smiliar to somthing Rotherham would wear

  5. rubbish. might as well be bristol city or other nondescript lower entity. Away kit looks like it was designed in powerpoint.

  6. i think it looks smart

  7. No wonder Luke Young signed. It looks like the Charlton strip from last season.

That new away kit will take some getting used to aswell.

  8. i agree with last coment, errea are complete rubbish and i will never buy a boro shirt while they continue to make our strips.

  9. agree with steve, i watch non league and it would look good there, but not in the premiership

Worst kits I’ve ever seen. I’ve seen amateur teams with better jerseys, but what can I expect from a small team like Middlesborough

  11. these kits are the worst premiership kits eva would they ever get someone else besides errea

I think this kit looks awful. It has no class what so ever. I liked Boro’s kits for last season. This looks like they ordered theyre kit out of a catalogue like you would for your work 5-a-side team.

I dont dislike the kits. But they dont do much for me. They dont make much of a statement and will just blend in. I dont think that they look like professional kits that were heavily invested in, more like a sunday league teams kit….But then again i wouldent really care.

    @Papa
    In english please!

I think what he tried to say was “I like tho old crest better, The kits look old”. . .Personally i like the new crest. The old one was very cramped.

Yeah Papa what the fuck were you speaking then, I couldnt understand a thing…

And the new crest looks better I think

  27. sunday league kits. boro have never had nice kits, errea make rubbish kits. its either adidas or nike for me. to be honest, half the kits for 2007-8 season suck, example: everton.

  28. Last years kits were class (and the first well-made Errea kits I’d seen), so its shame they’ve taken a downturn.

Still SOOOO glad we aren’t on the Umbro/Adidas bandwagon as those Umbro/Adidas templates are truly dire.

  29. Errea are capable of making good kits - our first ones with them in the Premier League in 1995/96 were pretty decent I thought, along with the infamous 96/97 season’s kit. The previous three years have also been pretty cracking to be fair, particularly the big white collar one (with ‘Carling Cup Winners’ in the middle).

And you know what? this one’s starting to grow on me - I just wish that they’d not dumped the white hoop, it would’ve looked IMMACULATE if it had that.

  30. awful awful awful

  31. well im a boro fan. i think tje tops are rather smart, but they seem a bit tacky
    dont ya think?

  32. August 4, 2007Gary Baldie

What happened to the white hoop? Now they just look like scouser wannabes.

  33. August 4, 2007DazzaBent4England

WHERE THE HELL IS THE WHITE STRIPE ACROSS THE HOME KIT. It sucks and looke too 1990’s. I also think that the GARMIN logo needs an extra something, it’s not a logo at all, it’s just writing with a small triangle!

  34. errea r crap but boro aint they will finish mid table and r a gd team

  35. someone get that boy a happy meal :P

  36. Y, is every body bothered about shirts.. cmon seriously this a shirt to play football in not a fashion show .. i know they arent the best in the world but cmon

  37. I think that maybe the reason why they are so plain (boring) and simple (shit) is down to the fact that there was some confusion over who was to be sponsoring Boro this season. Therefore meaning that Errea didn’t have much time for producing enough shirts before the season, so they used 2 relatively plain designs that they could knock out quickly.

There’s a thing on the official Boro website saying thanks to Errea for working their bollocks off to get the shirts ready in just 3 weeks, so maybe it’s true…

    I don’t know, it’s just me hypothesising…

  38. Not To Fond On The Home Kit, But The Away Kit Is The Best One We Have Had In Year. Up The Boro!!!!

  39. looks ok looks very similar to the old dial ‘a’ fone we used to have but i like the way the sponsor garmin has the arrow at the end so it look slike its pointing to the badge

  40. September 2, 2007callum pearson

why avent boro got a third kit cos nearly every team has

  41. because there’s no need to rip off the fans - how many teams do you know have a kit that clashes with both all red AND white and gold?

  42. September 6, 2007callum pearson

    sunderland you doyle

  43. September 6, 2007callum pearson

    sunderland

  44. up boro just a small town in europe best team in the north east luv the kit no1 boro cum on boro , lets get bk in europe n rule SOUTHGATE all the way !!!

  45. September 13, 2007callum pearson

dont know wat to say about that 1 strikarz do ya

  46. up the boro lets beat the macams eh! ive got them both , surprised by great quality

  47. Still not a fan of them. The white band set us apart from the rest, now I don’t know if I’m watching Boro, Liverpool, United or whoever.

Errea are not a great manufacturer. I wouldn’t really like to keep them.

And that triangle on the Garmin logo just looks odd…

  48. I bought both of them on the Saturday release for season ticket holders and I’ll admit up to that point I wasn’t keen on them, however, after about a week they start looking really good, the picture doesn’t do the home kit justice as if you look at it up close there are 2 shades of red but in the picture they are hardly visable.

I don’t think people should be too critical, I mean yeah everybody knows that the only reason that Errea make our kits is because Gibson owns a share of the company and that they aren’t the best designs. But I would rather have something like this rather than the black/white and red/white stripes that Sunderland and Newcastle have every year =]
