Liverpool travel to Old Trafford for a vital second leg clash against Manchester United in the Europa League this Thursday.

The Merseyside giants are already 2-0 up in the tie after an impressive home performance last week and are in complete control right now. Despite their shocking away form against Manchester United, Liverpool are very much the team with confidence and momentum here.

The Red Devils were brushed aside at Anfield last week and are only in the tie because of their world class keeper David De Gea.

Daniel Sturridge and Roberto Firmino scored at Anfield to give the home side a priceless win over their bitter rivals and Jurgen Klopp will be hoping for more of the same this week as well.

Louis Van Gaal and his side are going through a tough time right now and struggled badly against West Ham at home last week.

It will be interesting to see how they plan to contain a confident Liverpool attack this midweek. The Reds can afford to dig deep and defend away from home, but United will need to attack and that makes them susceptible to counter attacks.

Team News

Jurgen Klopp will be delighted to have most of his first team players fit for this one. Although James Milner missed the first leg with illness, he is expected to return here.
Danny Ings and Joe Gomez are the only injuries for the Reds right now.
As for Manchester United, Louis Van Gaal was dealt with a major blow yesterday as the medical staff ruled out Wayne Rooney’s April return. The Manchester United captain could be out for the season.
The likes of Jones, Young Shaw and Januzaj are still injured.
