Report: €20m Brazilian star to replace country man at Manchester United

According to reports from Spanish Media Outlet MARCA, Manchester United have joined the likes of Real Madrid and Barcelona in puruit of highly rated Porto right back Danilo. It is believed that various other European giants including Bayern Munich and PSG are also interested while United’s neighbours Manchester City are also keeping tabs on the player’s situation.

The report states that Louis Van Gaal wants Danilo who is rated at €20m (according to Transfer Markt)to replace Rafael while Antonio Valencia is only a temporary solution. The Red Devils would thus prefer a tried and tested right back with enough experience as Rafael’s defensive contributions is a real worry despite his attacking potential.

While Bayern manager Pep Guardiola has also earmarked Danilo to push Phillip Lahm up the pitch while Manuel Pellegrini wants the Brazilian as he has little trust in Bacary Sagna and wants Pablo Zabaleta to have enough competition for the right back role.

United have they financial muscle to buy any player they want and Porto have always been a selling club. Thus we could see the Red Devils plotting a move for the 23 year old in the coming summer.
