Manchester City 2016-17 Home Kit by Nike Revealed

Manchester City have officially unveiled the brand new Manchester City 2016-17 home kit manufactured by Nike on July 3, 2016. The club enters the new 2016-17 season with a new manager, Pep Guardiola, the most innovative kit in the club’s history and a redesigned club crest.

For the first time, Manchester City’s foundation year, 1894, has been printed on the new badge. It features the Manchester ship, three rivers and the red rose of Lancashire.

The new 16-17 home kit and training kit incorporates Nike’s AeroSwift technology, designed to enhance mobility, reduce weight and reduce the distractions that hamper performance.

The Man City home kit combines the club’s traditional City blue with darker blue detailing that takes its cues from the color of the new crest’s text and trim.

The advanced performance technology in the kit is visible on the chest, where engineered knit zones create a geometric pattern that enhances fit with smaller mesh shapes at the bottom of the graphic.

On the side of the kit, it features navy stripe that runs the length of the shirt and shorts. It will expand when the player is in motion and the stripe maximizes ventilation and reveals a subtle underlying City blue.

White socks, with a dark blue linear graphic on the calf, showcase the club’s traditional second color and accentuate speed completes the new 16-17 home kit.
