Liverpool’s end of season party

Liverpool started the season aiming for a realistic title challenge (a continuation, if not improvement, of last season) and progression to the semi-finals of the Champions League (a competition they’ve done far better in than the league itself).

Those aims officially ended last night with Liverpool dumped to the Europa League (all the football, none of the money) and with the team 13 points behind league leaders Chelsea, this is NOT Liverpool’s year.

What to do? You could:

  • Celebrate with fellow Liverpool fans at Liverpool’s end of season party – here.
  • Thank the owners for listening to the Keep Rafa At ‘Pool (KRAP) campaign – the chairman has announced that Rafa will NOT be sacked.
  • Thank the stars that Liverpool are not based in Japan – things could have been so much worse.
  • Bask in past glories.

Whatever you do, don’t lose hope. Next year is definitely your year.

And to think I was accused of gloating by Ahmed after Liverpool beat United at Old Trafford last season (I wasn’t).
What kind of piece is this from a site that prides itself on impartial analysis ?
Yes Liverpool are in a right mess. Lets hope things get considerably worse financially and then perhaps those 2 carpetbaggers from over the pond will disappear up their own backsides. This may a forlorn hope but if they stay at the helm things can only get worse.
