With just three days remaining in the summer transfer window, the Premier League elite are looking to wrap up their business quickly and finish the window strongly.

Here at Soccerlens we bring you some of the latest transfer news from Europe’s most popular footballing league.

Chelsea ready to complete deal for Marcos Alonso

Chelsea have been linked with a move for the Fiorentina left-back Marcos Alonso.

The former Real Madrid youth player has impressed in Italy and Conte wants to sign him for Chelsea this summer. The Blues recently loaned out Baba Rahman to Schalke and are missing a specialist left back now.

Antonio Conte thinks that Alonso could be an ideal addition to his back four and is, therefore, ready to pay 25 million Euros for him.

Spanish newspaper Marca have also confirmed that 25 million Euros is an acceptable fee for Fiorentina. They signed Alonso on a free transfer in 2013.

It seems that an agreement is a matter of time. The Blues have done some solid business this summer and the likes of Kante and Batshuayi are already proving to be shrewd additions.

Shkodran Mustafi confirms Arsenal transfer is imminent

German international Shkodran Mustafi is close to completing his transfer to Arsenal.

The Gunners have apparently agreed a deal with Valencia for the 24-year-old and an official announcement is expected today.

Sky Sports have interviewed the La Liga star and he has confirmed that Mesut Ozil has talked him into joining the North London giants.

Although neither club has confirmed the move so far, Mustafi has confirmed it himself and that shows how far things have progressed between him and the two clubs.

“I did not see Per for a long time because he quit international football but I talked to Mesut,” Mustafi told Sky Sports in Germany.

“He told me everything I wanted to know. Everything was positive, so I was convinced very fast. It did not take much.”

“I have always loved Arsenal, I like how they play here, it is not typical English. The game here is more like in Spain and with the German national team, keeping the ball on the grass, so it was easy to convince me.”

Chelsea bid for James Rodriguez rejected

Daily Mirror have now confirmed that Chelsea have submitted a bid for the Real Madrid winger James Rodriguez.

The Colombian has been linked with a move away from Santiago Bernabeu all summer after being benched for several key matches last season.

Mirror add that Real Madrid have rejected the bid (undisclosed amount) and would only do a deal in the region of 60 million pounds.

James joined Real Madrid for a fee of 65 million pounds back in 2014 and had a phenomenal debut season with Los Blancos.

It seems that the player has fallen out of favour at Real Madrid now and a move to Chelsea could be outstanding for both the club and the player.

Chelsea need a right sided attacker in their side and Rodriguez is a world class player on his day. It remains to be seen whether Chelsea comes up with an improved offer now.

If they do manage to land the South American, this could be their best transfer window in recent years.
