Real Madrid President Florentino Perez has refused to comment on whether Real Madrid will make a future bid for Manchester United goalkeeper David De Gea. The Spanish capital giants failed to secure the services of the 24 year old after there was a delay in paperwork, which meant that the necessary documents didn’t reach the La Liga headquarters in time to complete the deal.

Perez has now pointed out at the inexperience of the leaders at United due to which De Gea’s impending move to the Bernabeu fell through. As reported by Spanish media outlet Cadena Ser, Perez believes that United never wanted to negotiate a deal for the shot stopper and only agreed to strike a breakthrough in negotiations just when 12 hours were left before the transfer window was to be shut.

The Madrid President has hit out at United claiming they took 8 hours to return the papers for De Gea and cited the Old Trafford side’s lack of experience in the transfer market. He even pointed out at United’s past unsuccessful deals for Fabio Coentrao and Ander Herrera.

Perez however has refused to comment if Madrid would make a future bid for De Gea, the player who has already been included in United’s Champions League squad. The developments effectively rules out a move to the Bernabeu for De Gea in January as Real wouldn’t want to buy a player who will be cup ties in Europe.

Perez also claims that he is aware of the keeper’s disappointment at not being able to join Real, “He was very affected because he had great hopes (to come to Real Madrid.)
