In an innovative style, replicating their way of playing on the football pitch, the image and design of the new kit was displayed, where 80, 645 yellow flowers were planted in the mould of a football shirt, covering an area of over thousand square metres, to make it visible to the public at the heart of Dortmund.
Highly rated forward and poster boy Marco Reus was elated with the new kit. He expressed his happiness while modelling with the new kit, by saying:
“The design and the comfort of the new shirt absolutely meet my expectations and I especially like the new collar. Black and yellow are the traditional colours of the club and the whole region of Dortmund. I hope with this new shirt we can once again play a successful season.”
The new kit has been designed keeping the classic colours of yellow and black and has several other interesting features and stylistic details.
The collar of the shirt is a mix of a v-neck and classical round shape and two black stripes on the sides of the shirt, not only makes it visually attractive but also adds a degree of dynamic appeal.
Apart from the Puma logo, the shirt features the BVB emblem with two symmetrical stars that symbolizes the five German league trophies the club has won.
The shirt is made up of high quality polyester and offers excellent moisture management that adds extra comfort.
PUMA have also launched the new away shirt of Dortmund today, which maintains the same high quality and performance standard as the home shirt. The third shirt is a combination of grey and white colour, similar to that of the home goal keeper shirt, and boasts the same characteristics of the home and the away kits.
All home, away, alternate as well as the goal keeper kit will cost £55 each, and along with other latest merchandise and fan wears will be available at the Soccerlens Store in July.
