Bacary Sagna to finalise Manchester City move after FA Cup Final

Share

Arsenal defender Bacary Sagna will sign for Manchester City after the FA Cup final on May 17th, with the Frenchman failing to overcome a dispute over a pay-rise at the club, and will become the FIFTH Gunners player to have move to the Etihad in the last five years.

Sagna Not another one! Arsenal star WILL finalise Manchester City move after May 17th

Sagna, 31, has long been linked with a move away from North London, with his contract set to expire at the end of the month, and a seemingly final impasse currently preventing progress over a new deal.

The right-back is after improved terms, which would see him bumped up to £100,000 per week, but Arsenal have been unwilling to meet his demands, with the Daily Mail now reporting that the club have informed Sagna that they are just not prepared to budge, paving the way for rivals City to finalise terms with the player after he plays his last game for the club.

Arsenal will contest the 2014 FA Cup Final will Hull on Saturday, and Sagna is free to sign a pre-contract agreement with clubs at this point, and it now seems as though he will put pen to paper over a deal with City after the weekend’s event.

Sagna will have no guarantee of a first team berth at the newly-crowned Premier League champions however. with fans favourite Pablo Zabaleta still blazing a trial down the right-flank, and to great effect.

If/when he takes his place alongside Samir Nasri and Gael Clichy at Man City, he will complete a long-shot former Arsenal trio of Frenchman at the club (with former legend Patrick Vieira upstairs making it technically four)!

  1. So Sagna is another mercenary??? He isn’t going to Citeh to be first choice as Zabaleta is the best RB in the league and first choice at Citeh! It’s only a financial thing!
He should not be allowed to take any part in the fa cup final!!! He is a traitor if all he cares about is money! He is already one of the richest people in the world..the same as any top player at a big club…so does he really need £100k a week?? When we are offering him £80k?? He can win the FA Cup with Citeh next year, let a PROPER Arsenal boy play in the final instead!! Jenkinson all day long!!! Sagna is the better player but Jenks has the passion and should be allowed to play!! IT would be a dream of his…obviously for Sagna, he thinks he is too good for us now!!
Sagna should get booed if he is planning to leave us to sign for another English side, especially a rival!! What a mug!!! F**k off SAGNA!! You dirty whore!!! Yet again, you coulda been a legend but no…just the same as Cashley, Na$ri and Van Per$ie!!! Thought Sagna had more class than them mugs but nope, just the same!!!

    • Them “mercaneries” ALL left to win trophies, they all won the premier league. Players get 1 career & want to be successful its not their fault arsenal show no ambition & refuse to acknowledge their own short comings: a top class centre back, holding midfielder & a 25 goal striker. IF you sort these problems players may want to stay but til then stop moaning as its your own lack of ambition that is causing the problem. Dearest ticket in the prem & nothing YET to show for it.
      Come on hull!!!

  2. Jenks is not ready to play in an FA Cup final, he makes too may mistakes. OK if Sagna wants to leave then let him leave but we need to replace with a top quality Right Back! We have made progress this season please don’t let us go backwards again now.

  3. Horrible idea. Patty V must be getting a kickback for this. He’s 31 and Pelligrini will choose him over Micah Richards??? which gives the team a different option if Zabalata is ineffective, like he can be against younger guys: Southhampton is a good example.
Sagna IS class but Wenger is a master manipulating the situation to get a better player in the long haul, he won’t have to replace Richards for sometime yet. Can we say the same for Bacary?
