£70m? £120m? How much will Man City Buy Kaka for?
According to BBC, Manchester City sent a team to Italy to discuss the possibility of signing one of their players, and mid-discussions tabled a bid for Kaka. It could be nothing more than mindless speculation (there goes 90% of football news reporting) but it does raise an interesting question:
Given Manchester City’s finances, Kaka’s attraction as a star player, the current economic situation and the relative positions of AC Milan and Manchester City in league and continental competitions (or lack thereof), how much will Kaka go for?
Less than £70 million?
£70-100 million?
£100-120 million?
More than £120 million?

I cant see him leaving for anything less than £100 Million. I think he’ll go but AC Milan are seriously going to drive the price up until Man City give. It’ll be a Berbatov all over again!
What are man city thinking of? All they need at the moment is more defensive players. If the want stars go after players like, Ramos, Xavi, Canavaro, Nesta, Chivu, Mexes, Senna, Walter Samuel, Philipp Lahm, Willy Sagnol, Joan Capdevila, Raúl Albiol, Carlos Marchena, Carles Puyol, Gabriel Milito, Kolo Toure, Yaya Toure, Miguel Veloso, Matthew Upson, Vidic, Can anyone else think of some players for Man city to buy? I would buy Iniesta over Kaka anyway.
Kaka is not only the best player in the world, he is also a consumate proffessional. I don’t think we could spend the money on a better player if we tried. He is not a billy big balls ‘galactico’ and that is how I like it.
He also wouldn’t be the only player to come in. I’m pretty sure a centre back and a couple of DMC’s are on the priority list too.
Kaka not only is a great player (he is of course NOT the best, but like top 5 players in the world) he also is a great source of income for the team. Having Kaka on your team would drive the fan support through the roof and his jersey would sell like crazy across the world. It would honestly be a win win win situation. Man City would win because that bought Kaka, the fans win because they now have Kaka on their team, Kaka even wins too because i am sure Man City will pay double Milan and Milan is slowly going down hill with their players and their stature. The 100 mill could be easily spent elsewhere to increase the overall status of the team. Maybe bring in some actually youth players besides Pato. The only problem would be that Kaka may just not want to move from Milan to England just yet. The minimum price for Kaka would easily be 120 mill. Considering if Ronaldo has been linked with over a 150 mill move….Kaka is about a good 20 to 30 mill less than him.
£70-100 million
Um, get real folks.
Robinho signed for Man C then forgot who he had signed for in interview and quoted Chelsea. Real wanted rid anyway. If people really believe World class players are going to sign for a side flirting with relegation and not even a BIG english club then they need professional help. Do you really think KAKA is going to swap a monolith like Milan for a soon to be championship side ??!!
P.S. Milan going down hill Ryan?
Just the success cycle. When a no bit side like Man C have won the european silverware that Milan have then i may think again. I am fed up with all this incessant nonsense about whos going to Eastlands, no BIG player who thrives for success is going there. Just players with insufferable greed for cash and a peverse attraction to being underwhelmed!!
A wee bit jealous are we Bif Spur? It really is pathetic you know!
Man City > Spurs
I’m sorry, whos currently in 18th place 2 points away from the bottom?
