Would you have signed Carlos Tevez?

Written by Ahmed Bilal

Tevez baby, Tevez!

He says he wants to come to Manchester United, and United say that they’re doing everything possible to get him.

But if you had a chance (talking to non-United fans here), would you have signed Tevez for your club? If so, would he have slotted in straight into the starting lineup or taken a spot on the bench?

I’d especially like to hear views from Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool, Tottenham and Newcastle fans - let’s assume that the legal wrangles will be sorted out much like they were in Mascherano’s transfer to Liverpool.

What then?

Would you sign Tevez, and where would he start?

  1. definately not .. he is a quality player but the mess he is in with the third party is just mind boggling , i was under the influence that this agreement was ripped up so tevez could play the final 3 games of premire league.Id much rather someone like javier saviola who is cheap and looking for alternative teams rather than barcelona.

So no i wouldnt sign him but if there was no legal issues i still wouldn’t sign him as cheslea got 4 quality strikers and bringing him in would hamper the progress of the likes of kalou and sahar in years to come.

  2. Good Hardworking player but NO to him

  3. July 10, 2007 cbbennett

No. He’s a very good player on his way to being great, but he’s not a good fit for United. For 30 million pounds, United could get Huntelaar–a younger, better, proven striker who fits Man U’s system–and bolster the defense with another signing or two.

  4. hell yeah, and i’d put him in first eleven in a heart beat, dont know if you guyz have been watching copa america but if you haven’t let me tell you tevez is a class act,i’d place him before rooney, anyday.Superb dribbling skills, killer passes, unselfish, work rate is oustanding, proven match winner, how can he be anywhere but in the starting line up.

I’m thinking if Tevez arrives at ol’trafford, then maye we should accept milan’s offer for Rossi

  5. Nathan - Tevez is only 6 months older than Kalou, so you could swap the two - get rid of Kalou…how about that, would you prefer Kalou to Tevez?

cbbennett - Tevez is proven in the EPL, Huntelaar is not. Plus the defense is bolstered by Evans and Pique coming back.

Anyone who wouldn’t sign Tevez is mad. I’m a Man United fan, but still…come on guys. He’s a very very good player and at 23, he’s got a lot of football ahead of him. He’d slide right into the starting line-up in almost any team.

  6. Yes I would have liked to sign Carlos Tevez :)

  7. Yes. I also would have liked to sign him for my team :-)

  8. Ahmed, I don’t think this is such a good idea. These guys might come up with good valid reasons why he should sign for their club. If indeed club managers read this website (like a cetain Jose), it might cause some shit for us with the transfer.
Please remove this web-page from your website?

  9. What the hell…leave it…I’d like to see all the negative vibes from other fans anyway :-)

  10. If they are signing him at that cash, i don’t think hes worth it.

  11. As a Man U fan i’m thrilled. I just hope it doesn’t mean getting rid of Rossi, or giving him even less playing time.
I hope that we sell Smith and perhaps Saha to make room for Rossi as well as Tevez.

  12. Any one who says hes not worth it is deluding themselves

  13. July 10, 2007 De_Roiste

Nathan,…. as the post said, if there were no legal wranglings, would you?

Me?.. I’d sign him in a heartbeat!

  14. July 10, 2007 Kop4ever

I definetly would sign him… to Nathan at comment number one… was the Mascherano issue not the same as Tevez and did that cause any problems when Liverpool signed. NO!.. He is a class player that can up the Ante in any team… Now if Man U eventually get him, they will be more unstopable as much as I dont like to admint it…

Any Manager would be mad not to want Tevez in their team with his current form, he is still a young lad as well!

  15. De_Roiste i explained it at the bottom of my post , for chelsea id like to see kalou and sahar develop and especially sahar as with tevez there it will make it harder to break into the starting lineup. But as our strikers get older it wouldn’t be a bad idea but i don’t thnk we would use him to his potential with our strike lineup at the moment and would prefer a cheap option if we had to buy one. Drogba and Sheva are class and i expect sheva to shine more this season just no room for tevez especially with pizzaro now.

  16. Providing he could establish a partnership with Van Persie, I’d take him. This is a player who’s done his adapting to the Premiership and has proven capable of scoring goals. With the opportunities we would give him he’d be sure to excel.

I guess we didn’t go in for him for a good few reasons though - money, we already have some fantastic striking talent coming through, the whole MSI situation etc.

Don’t know if he would have been right for Arsenal at the moment.

  17. I love it, the bitterness is ridiculous.

As a Utd fan i will admit openly i would have liked to have seen Torres play for Utd, because i appreciate football not just my own goggle vision.

Tevez would WALK into Chelsea’s team without breaking a sweat…..

Tevez would WALK into Arsenal’s team without even training……

Tevez would WALK into Liverpool’s team (and i must admit the Torres & Tevez partnership would have been special)……

Tevez would NOT be needed at Tottenham or Newcastle (because their strikeforces WHEN FIT are very very good) BUT would still walk into their first teams if bought or loaned or stolen etc etc….

Now come on guys lets have a little honesty as it pathetic reading the drivel………

  18. I really would have singed Tevez as he is really a great player and should definately play first squad alongside Rooney
    :P
And ENR mate i think Tevez would be needed more at United then Torres coz i think Tevez is a better target man then Torres and thats what United really lack. Rooney is good but has 2 many ups and downs.

  19. mmm i would sign him(man utd fan) but i dnt think i wood put him straight in2 tha line up coz now man utd r in a crisis. where r they gna put all there players. hargreaves, nani, anderson. they wood have 2 get rid of scholes or carraick for hargreaves. nani giggs wood have 2 go. anderson cood play behind rooney. but if tevez comes in then thats 2 many players wood have 2 put him sub along wif nani coming off tha bench and mayb anderosn aswell. so they cood play a 4-5-1 or mayb classic 4-4-2 wif anderson wif rooney upfront or mayb anderson form tha bench and tevez starting… who noes. we juss have 2 wait and c

  20. Villa - Although Tevez is very good at holding up the ball etc. He is not a target man. A target man is Crouch, Drogba and Berbatov mould. Torres is a good target man also.

Nathan - Come on be serious. Tevez pisses over Schevchenko now. Sahar is going on loan or should do because getting splinters in his arse his not worth it, he is a very good prospect. Chelsea were 1000 times the team they are now playing a 4-3-3 two years ago. If you adpoted the same sort of philosophy with Tevez and now Malouda (taking it that Robben had gone to Madrid (he got sick/injured to much anyhow) which he will). The having Malouda Drogba Tevez as the leading three would be amazing, and if you wanted then Schevchenko could come on and hit a couple of fans in row z.

  21. July 10, 2007 ronaldo_diver

I would sign tevez, but he doesnt seem that loyal as every club which is linked with him he wants to join. he said he didnt wanna move from london, wanted to play for inter, then real madrid and then united. hmmmmm yeah really wants to go to united doesnt he??

plus dont know how man u will manage all these guys to play in one team.

oh well we can just rely on cristanos diving abilities to wins us the ship againn!! yeahh!

  22. Nice point but i gotta stick by sheva he is pure class and i hope he performs next season , if not at the end of next season we can have a look at different strikers. but i still think we are fine . with joe cole , drogba , kalou , malouda and sheva we could work a perfect 4-3-3 attacking wise and we also got ballack , lampard etc

  23. July 10, 2007 Cheeseman

Only idiots think that Man U was Tevez’s 1st Choice

“I know Inter is interested in me. It would be nice to play in Italy, especially in a team that has so many Argentinians - Carlos Tevez, June 12.

“Inter is a great club. There is a true possibility that I will wear the Nerazzurri colours next season” - Carlos Tevez, June 26.

“I know people are now talking about Arsenal and obviously that is something I am excited about. It’s another big club and the good thing is I wouldn’t have to move out of London. I also already know English football and I like it. Arsenal’s style is more technical than physical so I could fit in no problem. My transfer is being talked about a lot. It’s beautiful to be wanted by various clubs” - Carlos Tevez, June 29.

“I would like to play at Real Madrid” - Carlos Tevez, June 30.

“For me, Manchester United will be a sensational destination and to be a member of Sir Alex Ferguson’s squad will be absolutely spectacular” - Carlos Tevez, July 6.

    (From Football365)

  24. Cheeseman - TBH i dont think he had favourites, whoever paid the most will get him. I mean who wouldnt want to play for Inter, Real Madrid or Utd really. All champions this year and very impressive squads.

  25. @ CHEESEMAN,when, well think about it if you think some club wants you and has shown inerest,do you start saying how you wish some other club is way better? I dont think so.Henry last year after the champions league final trashed barcelorna, now where is he and what did he say at his press release the day he signed for barca? You seem to be good at quoting so am sure you know what he said.

I read somewhere that while still playing in southamerica he once appeared in a press conference rocking a man utd jersey

  26. Real Madrid has signed Pepe from Porto.

  27. I just cant stand it when people claim Shevchenko is a bad striker and when they talk about big-money flops, his name always pops up?!?! Why is it that everybody get some adaptation time, except for him. Also, hard to impress a manager if the manager have pre-conceived dislikes in him…
I think he is absolute class and this year we will ALL be surprised at how his class shines through. Like they say: “Form is temporary, Class is permament”

  28. @Cheeseman

    …and your point is??????

  29. July 10, 2007 Reds of Manchester

I would sign tevez, and he’ll go straight into starting XI. He would go into any starting XI if any club sign him i believe. And don’t tell lies that he’s not good enough and stuff. He’s that good and he would start along rooney i believe. People say they are too similar but i’m believe they will form a formidable partnership next year. Well the season starts, time will tell.

  30. If I was Ferguson, I would strongly advise to sign Carlos Tevez. As a 23-year old, he’s not too old or not too young, he is a perfect fit in the squad of Man U. With those free-kicks he can take, he makes C. Ronaldo himself jealous he can’t do those bends very often…or score 3 free kicks in 1 season.

  31. July 10, 2007 ATLilywhite

I’m frankly baffled by anyone who wouldn’t sign Tevez. The guy’s one of the best players in the world. His career achievements in South America speaks for itself. Sure he had some struggles adapting to the Premiership, but most players do.

As for stunting the development of players like Kalou and Sahar…who cares? “No sir, I’d rather not have this great player, I’d prefer to give some game time to these youngsters in the hopes that one day they become great players.” Tevez would walk into any team on the planet without a problem. Let Kalou go develop somewhere else.

As for your original question. Yes. Tevez and Berbatov would conquer the world together.

  32. As a Chelsea supporter, to be honest…50/50, but I’m leaning no.

Tevez has tremendous upside, great form. But…

I am expecting Shevchenko to bounce back this season and have a great year. As such, I am waiting another year before picking up what is potentially a franchise striker.

The third party agreements are just ridiculous, and I do not even want to deal with them. What a headache for the club, and potentially something that could cost the club money and points.

Most of all, I’m looking at Tevez’s production in the Premiership. Everyone forgets that for 85% of the seaosn, Tevez didn’t do jack sh*t. He only came on in the final weeks when West Ham was playing on pure adrenaline in an effort to stay up. I do not want my title hopes hinging on that kind of player; instead, I am spending the money on someone who performed all year.

  33. July 10, 2007 Reds of Manchester

Well, i don’t agree with you Brian W. If tevez didn’t do jack sh*t for 85% of the season then shevchenko must be doing jack sh*t for 95% of the season. And don’t forget, when he came with mascherano, they both don’t have a lot of playing times under padrew. Only after curbishly came in then we started seeing more of tevez. And you’re expecting shevchenko to bounch back and have a great year, then why not expect tevez? Just b’caz he’s chelsea player and tevez’s not?

  34. I expect Shevchenko to bounce back not because he is a Chelsea player, but because he has an incredible history of performance in one of the best three leagues in the world (Seria A) for what is probably its most recognizable and revered franchise. Tevez has yet to perform on such a stage while Shevchenko has, so I have more confidence in SHeva than Tevez.

I never said Tevez didn’t do anything and Sheva did; both, in my opinion, had terrible years. More so Sheva, because he was expected to be great, while Tevez is mostly unknown. If you are going to criticize what I say, at least read my entire post and understand it before claiming I wrote things that I never did.

  35. And besides, I already answered your stupid question. The topic is “Would you sign Carlos Tevez?” Not “Is Tevez better than Shevchenko?”

I explained my reasoning already but you obviously cannot read: Shevchenko is a bit of an unknown this year, like Tevez. As such, I am not gambling on another unknown (Tevez) when I am paying megabucks to Shevchenko. I’ll wait another season and pick up someone else if #7 doesn’t work at the Bridge. Chelsea does not need two strikers that are unknown at this point. There’s no bias towards Shevchenko; I’m only biased in making smart football decisions.

  36. July 10, 2007 Reds of Manchester

Okay, now got clearly explaination. And i’m not targetting you cause you’re chelsea fans or what, just a difference in opinion. No Hard feelings.

  37. Touche; Am happy I was able to clarify.

  38. BRIAN! BRIAN! BRIAN! What are you saying? Tevez is mostly unkown?!? How can you say that? It was the most exciting transfer saga of last summer. He was one of the best players at the World Cup. When he arrived, West Ham fans were nearly hoping for the title. Sheva on the other side… columnist after columnist on just about every football website predited he will be a flop in the first season at Chelsea. Tevez, even when he was not on form, he gave some life to West Ham. And Carlitos didn’t have a horible year. He just used time to adapt. Unlike Sheva he did not know English and had less playing time and still managed to turn it on by the end of the season. Also he had tons less experience as you pointed out. So the balance leans in Tevez’ way for me.

To answer Ahmed’s question: if Fernando Torres would still be available, i would go for the Spaniard. Since he is not, the only strikers I would want added to our squad are in that order Berbatov, Tevez, Huuntelar, Villa

  39. there, there, Brian sorry i started writing before you posted 35 so i didnt see it.

    sorry

  40. Well, you make a good point; it’s not like Tevez never peformed in other leagues. But players are ultimately judged based on the numbers they put up, particularly strikers since it’s their real one job. And Tevez last year didn’t do it like his hype said he should have. I’m not saying the kid doesn’t have potential, because he could be an all-time great, but he is unknown in the fact that you don’t know or not whether this will be his 30 goals this season year, or whether or not for sure he will ever have one of those. With Sheva, you know he can do it because he has done it before.

Long term, Tevez is a better option because he is younger and could be better, but he could also be a huge bust for Man U as well because one never knows if he is actually going to break out.

  41. July 11, 2007 Fifth Column

Tevez and Riquelme to start for West Ham in first match of the season = FACTAMUNDO

  42. July 11, 2007 cbbennett

What’s the price for Tevez? 30 million pounds? And that’s for a striker that played well the last ten games of the season, but still hasn’t played a Champions League game?

Sorry to be a broken record, but Huntelaar is younger, a better fit,, cheaper and proven in Europe. No, he hasn’t played in England yet, but can you ignore these numbers? 15 goals in 22 UEFA Cup and Champions League appearances. 73 goals in 99 Dutch Eredivisie appearances over the last three seasons.

Ruud Van Nistelrooy had 75 goals in 98 appearances in the Dutch Eredivisie and 9 goals in 15 appearances in Europe before joining Man U.

    Still not interested?

  43. @ ALL Huntelaar_2_ManUnited fans…

It does not quite make sense to get rid of the best finnisher in the world - while he still have lots to give the club - and then spend big money on an ‘unproven’ player that is the ‘next him’?

    Pehaps SAF don’t want a goal-poacher anyomore…

  44. All these people that go on about signing a replacement for RVN make me laugh. In his last season at Utd his presence slowed down the play and made Utd predictable. Without him last year, Utd’s play for much more quick, fluid and unpredictable and led to us winning the league. Fergie doesn’t want to replace RVN like for like. He wants a player than can up the ante with last seasons style of play. Tevez is that man….Huntelaar is not!

  45. July 11, 2007 Reds of Manchester

Things are getting more complicated for the transfer of tevez. Now they are looking to get the FA and FIFA to come in to solve this problem. Sheff Utd will be watching this with vast interest =)

  46. July 11, 2007 a Red fan

hahaha.. LOL!! The majority of those who are not Manchester United’s fan says NO to him. Say that he doesn’t worth the money, he’s crap, he’s short, he can’t head the ball, not suitable for EPL, oh whatever…

That’s because they think united’s deal with Tevez is just about to happen, other clubs seems to have no chance to sign him. That’s why they hate him, LOL. But if United didn’t sign him, I’m certain they’ll say YES. LOL!!

  47. July 11, 2007 kridz1@arsenal88

tevez would be great at arsenal, (as a left wing) but I thinks wenger feel it’s not the right price tag on him.

tevez also wanna be a great player for united. at least ferguson can start thinking of using 4-5-1 formation as they also already grap hargreaves (defensive midfield).

for chelsea, sheva and ballack NOT a waste signing. I think they would be great for the coming season.

I hope arsenal can utilise their player if they are not getting injured. I also hope that the youngster can be powerfull enough to backup the first team. and get rid of GALLAS as soon as possible.

  48. I think some people fail to forget Tevez is a class player and has already become a cult hero at west ham and also we are releasing a new shirt. surely his arrival along with nani, anderson will massively increase shirt sales for the year. anyway back to the matter. yes tevez is quality but he isnt going to sign for £30m+ just yet. he will arrive on a two year loan at first. im sure united wont buy him if he is a flop but it is a clever bit of business. someone at my work place even suggested it gives man utd another season or so to assess dimitar berbatov.

i think if this was happening this time last year im sure chelsea would have paid well over the odds to land him

  49. July 11, 2007 NYSpursFan

Not for Spurs, but ONLY because a) our strikers are already pretty good, and b) we have more pressing needs. Tevez is a fantastic player, and would be a great asset to any team that needs a world class striker. I think a Rooney-Tevez pairing will cause nightmares for defenses.

  50. July 11, 2007 Fifth Column

TevezRooney would indeed cause nightmares for defenders - can you imagine those two ugly mugs in your dreams at night… ughhhhhh

I love Tevez but he is clearly a strategically shaven monkey.

  51. @ Imran, #46:

This time last year, Chelsea had already broken the bank signing Shevchenko. If they had really wanted Tevez then, they would have gotten him.

  52. *51 Brian W

Get a grip. The bitterness has spilt on to you message!!!

Give me one reason he would go to Chelsea, he has already explained he would only join a team with attacking flair i.e. Real Madrid, Inter, and United!

And as such you couldnt have got him my old pedigree chum, cos he would want to play punt, rigid no flair or ill fine you football!

  53. *51 Brian W

  54. July 11, 2007 da devil

Brian W: Who says Chelsea wanted Sheva? I suspect strongly (with the emphasis on “suspect”) that only Abrahamovic wanted Sheva. However at that time even Chelsea would have been foolsh to choose Tevez over Sheva, when Andiry was one of the best strikers in Europe and Carlitos had only a good world cup to his name (remember El Hadji Diouf and Juan Sebastian Veron anyone?) Even Man U could’ve gotten Tevez and Mascherano but they were unproven and had Fergie signed them and they performed like they performed at West Ham in the early season, they would’ve surely been given a spot on the bench and we’d dub Tevez and Mascherano as the new Bellion and Djemba Djemba. Just imagine. That sort of potential, ruined by a big club’s rotation system. (I believe Kleberson to be a victim of this but on to recent matters)

Now fast forward one year later. Tevez and Mascherano have proved themselves as two of the best future players in the world.

Now Fergie knows that he is signing someone reliable and can avoid the axe of the fans whom undoubtedly would’ve called for Fergie’s head had he signed Tevez last year. Yes…now I would sign him. Its a smart move and there’s a bonus in this deal too.

Manchester United were strong in every single department- except one. This department has been weak since the notorious David Beckham has left the club and now Tevez is going to put the last jigsaw into a perfect Manchester United team.

As for the whole Shevchenco business. Sheva will definitly prove himself next year. I believe he will be the top scorer of the premiership should he be given the chance. and as a man utd fan I hope I’m wrong.

  55. July 11, 2007 DUUDELOVE

Fergie is a genius, Tevez was only ever “on loan” to west ham. He didn’t take the risk (5 milllion pound fine etc) with signing him when he was offered to us last season. he WAS unproven in the Prem but NOW he is a house hold name. Now there are no risks involved and we can look forward to a devastating front line of attack and an even better season from Carlitos seeing as he is playing alongside much better players.

This whole pre-conception that Man Utd ABSOLOUTELY NEED a goal poacher is idiocy. Having a RUUD-type player restricts the fluidity and unpredictability of play. What we will now see is TOTAL FOOTBALL where not one player is shackled to one position and the players will constantly move around but keeping the same organization thus causing much delirium amongst defences. All our attacking players are flexible and can play in numeral positions.

  56. What does your post even mean? I never said anything about Tevez wanting to go to Chelsea. I simply said that if Chelsea had felt the need to go after Tevez, they would have. Whether or not Tevez would have accepted doesn’t matter; the original point I was referring to was the choice of Shevchenko over Tevez; Chelsea chose to chase Sheva.

If you are going to call me out you useless piece of scum, at least do it over the real facts of what I said. I dare you to reread my post and find where I wrote “Tevez would play for Chelsea or Chelsea for sure would have signed Tevez.”

  57. And if you are saying I am bitter that Manchester signed him over Chelsea, you are completely wrong as well.

I do not like Tevez, and I would much rather have Shevchenko on my club than Tevez. If I were bitter everytime another club signed a good player over Chelsea, then I wouldn’t live very long because it happens all the time. I could care less about Tevez going to Manchester, IF he even goes. It doesn’t affect how Chelsea plays at all, and has no impact on them whatsoever except for two league games when the clubs play each other.

Glad to see you still find life exiting up there on your pedastal Brian W

  59. July 12, 2007 ourfowler

I would if the third party situation was fully sorted out because he is a quality player and proved that in the latter half of the Premiership last season. However I would only pay around 15 million no more.

  60. July 12, 2007 elemenop

if tevez joins there will b a lot of first class players on the bench for man utd. thats y i dnt really wanting him 2 join. but if he joins ronaldo, rooney, anderson, tevez, nani, giggs, hargreaves. is gna b a very entertaining season. hargreaves is the most underestimated player in the world along wif requilme and essien. have u seen how good he is with his dribbling. his much more then a central defending medfeilder.chek this out. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2QdnWeCxJlY

It’s a website, not a mobile phone. You are allowed to write complete words U No?

Ahmed - can’t we have a ban on text writing. It makes the site look really juvenile ;-)

  62. as opposed to mindless ranting and bashing articles and the site without understanding either context or motivation, and pissing all over because someone elsewhere called your club a piece of shit?

    perspective dear, perspective :)

  63. Liam, I am simply defending and clarifying my perspective and illustrating tha the topic is not Tevez vs Sheva, but rather “Would You Sign Tevez?”

  64. July 12, 2007 elemenop

im to used to typing like that sorry. but who’s seen the story about berbatov being rated 40 million????? http://www.tribalfootball.com/article.php?id=47571

  65. in my opinion tevez wasn’t man utd first choice. saf even admitted that torres was his main striker target for the last 3 years. being a lfc fan I believe that tevez would of been class with torres but I cant say the same with man utd, rooney and tevez may get in each others way thus man utd will have to realy on cr7 AGAIN.

  66. I just wanted to point out to all the people who say sheva is a better player than Tevez by saying he has more experience or he is one of the best strikers of serie a well seeing that serie a in no way competes with epl or la liga with their dull and slow boring way of playing the game and even if it was can anyone tell me how many times ac milan won the scudetto and the champions league with sheva in their team that would be one time only so i wont and i dont think sheva is a class player and is in fact overrated and i am saying this as a chelsea fan

and hell yeah tevez will be in my team and starting line up for 2 reasons his unbelievable skill (flashback to his goal against serbia in the world cup) and 2 he is argentinian

  67. and i want to add to that i only started to watch the premier league for 3 years now and ive been a chelsea fan for most of that time but after seeing manchester united outclassing them in everymatch they played last season i can proudly say im no longer a chelsea fan i mean i just love man u they are simply the best its a team you can actually see a future with unlike chelsea who eventually roman will get bored and leave the club with no funding and they will return to being a second or b grade team that they always were

  68. so if just say liverpool win the league does that mean u gonna start supporting them next season?

  69. August 6, 2007 Liverpool_Fan

lol Sheva better than Tevez now thats a joke. I agree that Tevez was man uniteds back up plan but I still know in my footballing heart that Tevez is a great Player.

Torres would have been better for man he seems really skillfull but he doesnt ssee enough of the ball he needs to make friends with alonso and gerrard :)

  70. Whats happened to the site ahmed?

  71. hell no once a red devil always a red devil sorry

  72. no, any money is too much money for Tevez
    1) He hasn’t done anything yet
2)Apart from his pace he isn’t unique
3)S.A.A.F. seems to be forgeting that taking a gamble on a young player is supposed to be cheap like say cesc fabregas

A better sighning would have been Mario Gomes,Suazo,orGilardino.

Plus United’s biggest problem is that Wayne Rooney tries to play as a center forward and noy a striker, he to get further forward like all the greats and goals are sure to follow
