I have always thought of Becks as over rated but he has been great for England, he set up numerous goals for us and scored pivotal ones, but he was intent on global fame, which let him down, had he acted like Zidane or even Scholesy then he might not be in this position now, I see him either playing in Yankeeville or even Tottenham, either way, he’s definitely past top flight football, the twat

Ahmed, I know you have deep feelings for Becks. I mean no disrespect to you or Beckham, but personally, I feel that Beckham was (still is) over-hyped and over-rated. He was never the player everyone ‘thought’ (more like wanted to believe) he was. After the Gazza dissapointment, England desperately needed a hero. Becks stepped up into that role perfectly. Unfortunately, he could never play soccer as good as he could play the hero.
Becks is an excellent crosser of the long ball. But, that’s about it. He is a good footballer, but as for Manchester United, I think that selling him was the best move from them at the time. The only Bad thing about the deal was the fact that they got so little for such an icon.
