Will Kaka join Arsenal, Liverpool, Manchester United or Chelsea?

There have been quite a few transfers rumours in recent times but one of the biggest ones has just cropped up; that is, the possible transfer of FIFPro World Player of the Year to an English Premier League side. Only the top four clubs could afford to try and entice the Brazilian to the Premiership, and thus many rumours have come up in the press linking him with Arsenal, Manchester United, Chelsea and Liverpool.
Arsenal of course have just had the news released about a possible £70 million transfer fund for ‘big name’ players, although given Wenger’s preference for relative unknowns it is unlikely that they will be leading the bidding. Roman Abramovich has always been interested in big name players for Chelsea; after buying the thirty year old Shevchenko from the same club for £30 million he has enough wealth to go back for more. Liverpool have the financial backing of their American owners while Manchester United have always been contenders for the big names in the past- Wayne Rooney, Rio Ferdinand and Juan Sebastian Veron all costing the club somewhere around the £30 million mark.
Other transfer rumours have linked Kaka with a move to the Spanish La Liga, however as only Real Madrid and Barcelona are capable of buying him there a move to the Premiership seems more likely. Real Madrid do not need such a player after their purchase of Wesley Sneijder in the summer, and while Ramon Calderon’s insistence on getting in Kaka has been emphasized to the extreme the idea of Madrid signing yet another attacking player (considering it’s their defense that is their week point) looks unlikely. Barcelona do not need another attacking player unless they get rid of one of the big four; a sensational swap between the clubs with Eto’o or Ronaldinho going to Milan in exchange for Kaka is possible, but once again unlikely.
As for the English Premier League, I cannot see Liverpool getting Kaka, simply because I doubt the owners will be willing to spend what the Brazilian will cost. Although I doubt he will cost the reported £70 million, and think it will probably be closer to half that, Liverpool already spent big this summer, bringing in the likes of Torres, Babel and Benayoun and them forking out once again seems improbable.
I will rule Arsenal out of the running now; Wenger has never spent over £15 million on a player (Reyes’ final cost was £13.5 million) and I doubt he will ever spend more than £20 million, as he prefers to build his own team from scratch. This leaves Chelsea and Manchester United.
I cannot see Kaka joining Chelsea at this point in time; however should Henk Ten Cate join the club there is a chance he will consider it. Chelsea are boring to watch when compared to Arsenal or Manchester United, however there is a good chance that Ten Cate will completely revamp the club both on and off the pitch. Ten Cate was largely responsible for the fluid attacking football Barcelona played; they have generally not looked as good since his departure.
As for Manchester United, they may be involved if the price stays below £40 million but should it go above that I doubt they will be able to buy him, considering that they spent around £50 million in the summer on Owen Hargreaves, Nani and Anderson.
I do think Kaka will leave AC Milan in the next two years, although who knows what will happen in that time. We could see Barcelona sell off Ronaldinho to the likes of Chelsea or Inter Milan and thus be interested, or Arsenal look to buy Kaka after Cesc Fabregas leaves to Real Madrid for a phenomenal total.
As of now though, I think that it is most likely that Kaka will come to the Premier League should he want to leave the Milan club, and if Chelsea get Ten Cate they look the most probable club to sign him.
How about you? Do you think Manchester United has the funds to splurge on Kaka, or that Arsenal need a big name player? Discuss the rumour and tell me your thoughts by using the comments function below ![]()

Kaka is know to be a huge fan of Liverpool so don’t rule out the scousers making a move in a year or two.
Ian, you need to do your homework - Kaka has already hinted that he likes the Arsenal style of play and it would be them or Utd if he ever came.
For god’s sake, all these stories after one throwaway comment. Kaka won’t go anywhere and will most likely stay at Milan for the rest of his career. That’s it. There is no imminent move.
Erm what rumour? all you have done in your post is speculate, facts are:
Kaka:
“I’m very happy at Milan - and I don’t expect that situation to change”
“But if you want to talk hypothetically, if I were ever to leave it would have to be for a club of equal stature - and I think I would only find that in England or Spain.
“Manchester United are a wonderful side, I like Arsenal too”
“As for Chelsea and Liverpool, they are more tactically-oriented; they base themselves on solidity and organisation. They are maybe less creative, but they have good managers. I especially admire (Rafa) Benitez.”
He’s not going anywhere for now, yes he can walk into any of the teams you have mentioned and I think they might all be able to afford him, but nothing is going to happen!
You could make a post like this for ANY player in the world that mentions moving to another league in the future, sorry, its pointless to speculate about this sort of thing.
If he EVER moved, my bet would be for Chelsea coz i feel they are the only ones who can afford him at this point. Liverpool maybe but only if the owners are willing to cough up that kind of money for him as part of a marketing strategy.
Arsenal will never buy big-name players like him & Man Utd already have enough up & coming young talent to deal with.
And yeah, i feel all of this is unnecessary speculation too.
NO WAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!HE WILL NOT LEAVE AC MILAN
If any club will ever tempt Kaka away from the San Siro it will either be Real Madrid or Man Utd. Remember that Fergie has tried before to sign him so do not rule it out that he will try again while Real Madird will just buy him for the fuck of it if he becomes available.
despite all the speculation i do not see him leaving Milan however
Kaka will not leave AC Milan. Liverpool have youth players coming through from all over the place, such as Dani Pachecho (fantastic Barcelona youth prospect) and Gerardo Bruna (the next Messi according to R Madrid who may well impact upon Liverpool the way Kaka has and is doing at Milan.
If AC Milan have a s*** season, he will join Real Madrid. He ain’t going to the Premiership, its either stay or Real.
To Jason Pereira:
“Madrid signing yet another attacking player (considering it’s their defense that is their week point) looks unlikely”
—
What a weird comment considering Madrid have the best defense in La Liga so far. Besides, Guti and Sneijder, what other creative midfielders are there?.
Why should Kaka join a debt ridden club like Man Ure? I have heard they have debts to the tune of £650m.
At least our debts are for a new stadium which will be (well partly) paid for when we win the CL, Premiership and sell all properties on the old Highbury site!!!
the only way I see it happening is if there’s a player swap. So Ronaldinho to AC Milan and Kaka to Barcelona, for example. Unless he gets really unsettled at Milan (which he doesn’t seem to be), he will just cost too much money.
To answer your question in the article’s title, Jason: none of the above.
Well i know liverpool have brought roughly 18 prospering youngsters (if you include babel amongst the kids) a lot of them a said to be great i will wait and see.
As for Kaka he did say he would love to play along side Gerrard or Ronaldo but kaka wants a club to improve him therefore i think the knowledge of Benitez or the Wengers ability to raise up young talent will please him most.
Man u are in REALLY bad debt as it is so i dont think this tranfer is a good idea.
I cant see him moving to the premiership though to be totally honest. Can you imagine him in a Liverpool, Chelsea, Arsenal or Man u kit??
Redondo, Real are stupid. They want every single great player, no matter how much they don’t need them.
I can’t imagine him in any of those kits either to be honest. If his price wasn’t so huge, I could possibly (emphasis on “possibly”!) see him at Arsenal, as the only ever superstar purchase from them…but they only find talent, not buy it.
GOONERBOY,why r u sooo worried about man utd,?
deal with ur own probs,is it because u dont trust ur kids?
soon, u start playing better teams ,lets see how they handle DEFEAT!!
dont panic yet its only october.
BUT KAKA WILL STAY @ AC ,UNLESS THEY DONT REPLACE OUT GOING PLAYERS WITH QUALITY.
Listen, Kaka’s just a nice kid who’s being polite by saying he’d love to come to England. Milan have looked after him better than any other club could and he thinks of them as his family. Real Madrid may be tempting but I cant see him moving anywhere else. Then again, maybe he’s so desperate to get away from Dida…
i thought soccerlens was a decent site, with decent reporters, but, this is a waste of time and space, U are speculating about NOTHING. He doesnt wanna move to another club at the moment. He was being complimentary, every top player says the same thing. Last season Thierry Henry said IF he were to play for another english club it would be Liverpool, it doesnt mean he supports them or dreams about playing for them, he was just answering a question that he was asked and was being polite.Last season Ronaldinho said he enjoyed watching Chelsea , FOR FUCK SAKE, if that isnt being polite then what is?!
Yeah, Chances are, Chelsea will get him unfortunately…Ambromovich has way to much cash and he will spend it on Kaka, Although the LaLiga might be a likely destination for him.
Real Madrid have always liked Kaka and Ramon Couldron wanted to buy him last off-season but AC Milan wanted to keep him put in the San Siro and the man himself wanted to stay in Milan, But I do not think Barca will offer him anything since they have a strong midfield already,….Well so to does Real Madrdid they just cannot use it well!!
Man Utd will not get him, nor Liverpool for the above reason (in the article), Not being bias but Arsenal could have a chance to buy him, he seems like some one Arsene Wenger would enjoy having at the Emirates….
We’ll have to wait I spose….
I don’t see him leaving Milan but if it happens there no question that he ends up Manchester United. They have started out slow this season but the style of play is great with a mixture of power and finesse thats ideal to play and watch.
hell yeah…replacement for keano and scholesy right there. but nah in all honestly we don’t really need him. It would be nice but i doubt it. I see him staying at Milan and i hope to hell he doesn’t go to chelsea, arsenal or liverpool.
I hope ferguson keeps 1,000,000,000 for KAKA.. And hopes he gets 500,000 per week contract.. that would be the biggest transfer history…
Also Kaka and Ronaldo would make great 1-2s.. WOW!!..
kaka is a great player who plays as a brazilian no 10 however the only team in england that play this way is man city i doubt they have the finances so carry on dreaming. i for one do not want liverpool fc to go down the gallactico route
ps watch out for lucas leiva and gerado bruna
KAKA IS NOT GOING ANYWHERE!
If he should go, you can be sure it will be either Barca, Real or Chelsea.
Arsenal - 1) Already have Cesc. 2) Won’t spend much on a player.
United - 1) Will damper £18m Anderson (would have been a great buy last season). I really hate to say this (and say it with caution), but in all honesty, at the moment, United don’t need him). With the current debt and quality players already in the squad, it will not be wise to get him for a supposedly high price. (this coming from a a Huge MU/Kaka fan).
Pool - will fight it out with Chelsea, but will eventually lose out to Roman.
For Manchester United, it is quite possible, if they could use over 40 million to buy 3 players, they might as well use
For Manchester United, it is quite possible, if they could use over 40 million to buy 3 players, they might as well use less than 50 Million to get one of the greatest player of all time. He will add a very fine “collection” to the invisible team of the future: Nani, Kaka, Heagreaves and C.Ronaldo. With the strikers Saha, Rooney and Trevz, ManU will be quite invinsible.
Chelsea is not quite an option, they have the money (unfortunately) but I don’t think Kaka would choose a team without Morinho or a convincing manager. Additionally, I think if this year Chelsea gets lower than 3rd lower-up (number 4), many players will leave to seek another team. They could, though unlikely but they are definately not getting the first. Liverpool, Arsenal and ManU are striaght for the tittle while ManCity is getting the 4th place.
Liverpool: too many people already and the suituation in England may repeat if they have Kaka. In England team, Steven Gerred could not exsist with Frank Lampard, they both have strong leadership and attacking. Ubnfortunately when both of them attack, Frank Lampard’s perfomances is quite bad. If Kaka is coming, I think Gerred would not want to share attack and power. Steven is a great leader, if Kaka comes, who is the leader? Orelse he goes to Arsenal and ManU, Kaka may be able to command. (Arsenal needs world-class players to command the pitch not only Farbregas, and ManU needs younger players to command when old players like Giggs and Scoles are out of play).
For Arsenal, I agree with you, they never spend so much money on huge players. I dobut Wenger would buy him.
Real Madrid, I’m not sure they want him but I think they would not buy him.
Barcelona, if they land on him, it will be like talents in one place wherelse no more opprotunity to play, Kaka would not do that.
For the question of ManU in debts, 1. I don’t think ManU is in debts, where did the money go we earned every year? 2. ManU could really have the money.

First, below is an interview with Kaka:
Kaka:
“I’m very happy at Milan - and I don’t expect that situation to

“But if you want to talk hypothetically, if I were ever to leave it would

Here is my prediction
no order yet)
1. He will stay. AC Milan is a good side in Europe, and had won many trophies
these few years. The disadvantage is AC Milan getting old, which made the
results bad for AC Milan in Italy. Although Kaka would have been captain in AC
Milan, but I strongly fell that this interview shows his will to leave. Despite
of this, Kaka may be staying for another 2 years or until his contract ends. If
AC Milan wants to keep him, they would have raised his transfer fee and his
weekly salary even more (that would be so huge).
2. This year Manchester United is over 40 million to buy 3 new players. They
might as well use less than 50 Million to get one of the greatest players of
all time. He will add a very fine “collection” to the invisible team of the
future: Nani, Kaka, Hargreaves and C.Ronaldo. With the strikers Saha, Rooney and
Trevz, ManU will be quite invincible. For the question of ManU in debts, 1. I
don’t think ManU is in debts, where did the money go we earned every year? 2.
ManU could really have the money. In the interview, Kaka shows respect and
fondness of ManU. It is quite obvious to him that ManU is getting stronger with
young players and have a great possibility to take over AC Milan. Manu’s
attack and pace is quite useful and interesting to Kaka. Besides, if the
American boss wants Kaka and permits Ferguson, then Kaka might be on his way.
3. Chelsea is in crisis, and the boss would really want another “one of his
favorites”. Kaka may be expensive, but not for Chelsea, they used millions to
buy players regardless with their squad. Ballack and Shevchenko were one of the
examples. But would Kaka really choose one team without a good manager and a
team which is not even in G14? Additionally, Chelsea is not doing too well this
year; the Premiere League is now dominated by Arsenal and Manchester United,
leading the way while Liverpool is fighting for the lead. Manchester City
growing ambitiously while Aston Villa is beating the strong teams including
Chelsea. If Chelsea doesn’t get number 3 this year, I doubt players will still
be staying. Kaka would want some good teammates and an experienced coach.
4. Liverpool spent quite much in this summer. They really don’t have much
money left unless they sell again. In my opinion, I really don’t think Kaka
would join a team that rotates so often. Even Steven Gerard is rotating and if
Kaka isn’t this will cause unfairness and players would be furious. Besides,
Frank Lampard is quite similar to Kaka. Remember in the England team, many
people suggested that Steven Gerard and Frank Lampard could not exist together.
Both of them are great leaders and have a strong attack approach. If Steven
Gerard attacks, Lampard will be seen as useless. But if Steven Gerard is left
behind, do you think he is happy? Situation would be the same if Kaka comes.
Additionally, who will be the leader when Kaka comes? Would Steven Gerard share
power? I really don’t think so. If he is in Manchester United, he would be a
great leader when Giggs, Sholes and Neville are all old and weak.
5. Arsenal could have the money as they say they have 70 million, however
unlikely. They never spent huge amount of money to buy huge players, in history
Wenger only bought young players for a very low price and train them to
world-class players.
6. Real Madrid really wants him, but will they buy him? They have the money,
but nevertheless Kaka wanted to go to England first before going to Spain. Real
Madrid is quite strong now and would not be needed to add attack options. The
manager will be quite scared to add a super star regarding the pass few
years’ lesson.
7. Barcelona is strong with a good coach. But chances are very low because
there are too many people to choose within already. Eto, Ronaldoinho, Messi,
Deco and Henry formed an extremely good team. So Kaka would not choose them as
first choice I think.
8. Other teams may not have the money. And strong teams other than the above
like Bayern Munich would not need Kaka.

Oh, come on, leave it already. There’s a bigger chance Berlusconi will join any of the named clubs.
wun shun u make a good arguement there are so many players who have said things like that Ronaldinho Eto Vill and Torres all said it about Liverpool but only one came?
If kaka ventured to Liverpool (which WONT EVER happen) he would be played on the wings or a striker so i dont think he will play much a role on gerrard. plus if anyone has watched gerrard this season he is playing a holding role less than id like him to.
But wouldnt it be something to go out in your teams kit with the name Kaka on the back?
At this point, Kaka is happy at Milan and Berlusconi has said multiple times that under no circumstances will he sell Kaka. Unless something drastic happens, Kaka will remain happy at Milan.

Get over it, he aint going anywhere guys- this is an article out of nothing, out of a scrap of a comment.
anything you say is anything keep going we are meet to be brothers.
Everyone has a price so KAKA just has to name his. If anyone’s willing to pay £70 mil you’d be a fool to turn it down no matter how much you liked a club.
After all it’s only a football game.
he won’t leave milan but if he were it would probably be real madrid i can’t see him in the premiership anytime soon. and i know for sure he WON’T go to chelsea because they are too boring and not at liverpool because they are built all around stevie G. i doubt united unless ronaldo goes. and arsenal have the chance to do it if they wanted to because they are the richest premier league club so if they really wanted to they could and he could be their main player but as we all know AW he doesn’t spend BIG. so he will stay at AC then go to r. madrid.
Kaka would be the perfect person to replace scholesy at United! I remember on his own offical website he told Rossi he dreams of playing for Man United
I think kaka will most likely go to Man U if he goes to the premier league, however I think he will go to Real Madrid, becouse like that guy says they bu every big player they dint need.
Anyhow C.Ronaldo is 1000000000 the player kaka is or will be
Cristiano Ronaldo is one of the best soccer players in the WORLD!!!!Manchester Untted will sure get KAKA!!!
Kaka like some1 said above, is the the next paul scholes!!!! KAKA FOR MAN UTD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THE INVINSIBL TEAM!!!!!!!!!!
…KAKA will lost respect from his fans if he will transfer to an English Club, his talent will only be enjoyed by AC Milan, and most of his comments in media interview he loves to stay in his club, AC Milan, and it would be best for him to stay, he has lots good team.mates, he needs no other team/club…”KAKA WILL AND MUST STAY IN AC MILAN”…
Ricardo kaka is the best player in the world now,if he plans to leave milan it will be for real madrid, but i know he wont live milan cause he said milan is his 2nd home after brazil.
