What most people fail to mention is that Owen has invested his money well (so the backpage reports have said) and isnt lacking for money when he hangs up his boots. I dont think he is primarly after a big paycheck now...He just wants to play at the highest level possible....playing on a bottom tier side might not cut it for him...coupled with the fact that big clubs wont look at him past his injuries.. the lad is stuck!!! So options like Quatar or Uzebekistan may soon roll in!! With all that said...can some interprising bigwig in MLS make an offer for him already. Owen might just bite

Owen has been a great player, however he has to realise that he has to prove himself after being plagued with injuries. Not many clubs will take a risk with a player prone to injury and demanding high wages. Owen needs to be realistic as there are plenty of players out there for less money, and risk. Hope he can regain his excellent form where ever he ends up.
