how can you honestly call yourselves liverpool supporters by claiming that rafa has not had much money to spend on players... anyone who knows anything about football knows that liverpool used to be the king of possession and had a bundle of national qaulity youth players coming through the system. barca and man utd are successful because they have continued this trend.

I agree with Sir Alex it was all the referee's fault !
If B D Condell thinks Liverpool fans are fickle he should try reading the blogs about United on the Manchester Evening News website.
I'll say it again - the source of all Liverpool's problems is Hicks and Gillett.

Well, his tactics seems to be working very well for Torres and Gerrard is it not? Both of them seem to be scoring all your goals last season. But then again, they were always good. Pity Torres did not come to Man Utd.

And to those that say Liverpool isn't spending enough money.

Personally I hope he goes as he has us playing the worst style of football in the league. It is ugly to watch, and the man just is not tactically smart enuf to turn it around. Sure he has fooled a lot into thinking he is a genius, but he has been thoroughly exposed as being well below par when it comes to managing a top side. Who can we get to replace him? Maybe riejcard, or kenny as care taker, I'm not that fused. I just want to see pool playing a good brand of footy, and send lucas the hobbit for a burton as well

Clearly Liverpool fans are divided based on the above comments.

Which way it swings may be determined on Sunday. Win, and some who have lost faith will bounce back. Lose and it will be the other way around.

only problem is, u cant afford to sack him, your club is struggling financially and the fat spanish waiter only recently signed a new five year contract. But I'm not complaining, thats one less team challenging us for our title.

the reign of Rafa Benitez can almost be defined by the caption ‘next year we’ll be champions’.

Rather: 'Next year one of those 75+ buys will be golden. No, no one will know the player either and I'll certainly pay over the odds'.

I honestly believe that sacking Rafa would be our equivalent of Newcastle sacking Bobby Robson. It might be viewed as the correct decision for a month, maybe two, but in four years after going through four managers as we linger in mid-table no one will be in any doubt it was the wrong decision.

Rafa should at a bare minimum be given until January, a new manager couldn't bring in flesh blood until then, and no new manager could do any better with this current squad than Rafa until then.
