I think it would be good for England - their failure - in the long run. The FA have now realised that a man who failed to achive anything at club level is not going to do well a for country; the English people have realised that they should not have booked their ticket to Austria in 2003; and players have found out that two sets of eleven players, each with less talent than themselves are better as a team because they give a rat's ass about their country.

If England fail to learn from their mistakes that they will become as foreign to major international tournaments as San Marino. They need a good manager, a brand new squad with small egoes - the likes of Heskey, but younger, will do. They also need the media to SHUT THE FUCK UP and not give every fan in the world the impression that England is superior to everyone and that a World Cup is unavoidable (that kind of pressure really gets to you, trust me). Finally they need to reward those who have done well and drop those who suck - two examples: Agbonlahor and Fat Frank, no need to mention which is which.

Here in Australia, it is good for us since they is now talk of a Socceroo - England rematch in front of 100,000 Aussie football fans!

Last time we (Australia) played England was in 2003 at Upton Park when Australia beat an England side with the likes od David Beckham (he was awesome then!) Michael Owen, Rio Ferdinand, John Terry to name a few 3-1...

So, the FA should be happy on that point that they will pocket money for playing in countries like Australia
