The site footycast.com (earlier monikers were goaltube.org and hifooty.com) shows highlights(unless they are originally on youtube in which case they would be taken off). The site also claims to show live matches for free. I still have not figured out how to use it though. It seems like you have to download some stuff. Anyway to all my football-loving brethren, I say this. Go google like mad at the time of the matches. Many of our saviour friends do open their blogs and stream live matches. These sites remain closed at other times................

Victor thanks. This is exactly why i asked you to give that website a check as you are much more experienced in reading between the lines. Damn!!! The difference "find" and "receive" makes to an entire intro to entice people into signing up. Thank for sparing the time buddy to give that site a rundown of its front page. Looking forward to reading part 2. Keep them coming dude

@EPL

Do you mean www.oleolefootball.com? I think it's one of those sites where you pay for a bunch of links that would be available to you anyway. I go into this a little bit in Part 2. I'd be very hesitant to sign up with them. For one thing, they say "Login to find football feeds live and available so that you don’t miss out on any of the live football action." Why the word "find?" If it's a service and not a list of links then why not say "receive?"

Secondly, broadcast rights have to be negotiated for between the leagues and the networks. It's a long and a cumbersome process and typically involves a whole lot of money. It's unlikely that some 3rd party site is going to be able to circumvent that and legally provide streaming coverage.

Hey Victor have you heard of this site called OLEOLE.com. Care to give it a check unravel the hidden words in the intro page and see whther its really live when you sign up or its just the same old trick. "sign up first promising free streaming videos of live games then pay as little as 2.99 pounds to watch a game. I am afraid to sign up because usually when once you verfy your email confirming your signing up there is no options to get out and end up its a sign up for life.

Here's a tip that I just found out about, bet365.com provides FREE LIVE STREAMING coverage of SERIE A matches. You have to sign up for a membership, but you don't have to place any bets if you don't want to (remember, we don't condone gambling here at soccerlens - that "predictor" program is strictly for informational purposes...). The tech specs are similar to what's required for the above sites: Windows XP or Vista, IE 6.0 or higher or Firefox, latest Flash player, etc.

ESPN 360 has a lot of Serie A matches. In fact, this weekend (10/18 - 10/19) they have 8 matches scheduled. They also have a deal with the Dutch League and the Chinese League (for some reason).

@ sloppy joe

It was VERY difficult to find network sites either devoted to or focusing on La Liga matches. This article, obviously, has a Premiership slant. However, it's not a coincidence since the British networks have been at the forefront of the Broadband movement. While Sky Sports has some La Liga matches, their focus is, obviously, on the Premiership.

Until Spanish networks start offering matches via broadband, it looks like P2P sites are the way to go. Stay tuned for Part 2!

ALSO: I haven't been following the Sogecable vs. Mediapro litigation, but I'm sure that's contributed to the lack of streaming coverage from the networks. Neither network can do much until the courts sort out who has the rights to what. Meanwhile, it's the consumer that suffers.

I just discovered that www.bet365.com streams Serie A football LIVE for FREE. All you have to do is open an account with them. You don't have to gamble if you don't want to. The technical requirements are similar to the streaming sites listed above. PC, Windows XP or Vista, IE 6.0 or higher, latest Flash player.

Check it out before they start charging!
