VIDAL AGREEMENT REACHED: €60m powerhouse ready for Manchester United move

Manchester United are reportedly on he verge of completing a club record €60m move for Juventus midfielder Arturo Vidal, with reports from Chile claiming the 27-year-old has verbally agreed to join the Premier League side on a four-year deal.

Vidal has long been linked with a move to Old Trafford, with the saga threatening to become the longest-running in this summer’s transfer window, but now Chilean newspaper El Mercurio has reported that the midfielder is all set to join Louis van Gaal’s revolution, agreeing to a four-year deal worth £120,000-a-week.

In an interesting development, La Gazzetta dello Sport claim that the medical tests Vidal underwent in Turin yesterday as he returned from his post-World Cup holiday was actually a pre-medical examination performed at United’s request!

With Michael Carrick out for up to three months, the need for midfield reinforcements has become an absolute necessity for Van Gaal as he prepares for his first Premier League season at the helm at Old Trafford, and if the latest reports are to be believed, Vidal is set to become the new engine in the former Barcelona and Bayern Munich manager’s United machine.

What do you think? Could Vidal propel Man Utd back to greatness?

    • Not really he’s worth it last box to box midfielder we had was Roy keane vidal will boss United up Herrera and vidal in mid jus crazy vidal has got it all pure powerhouse but it could jus be rumours like all summer fuk knw’s yes but if we do get him we need to focus on centre backs after den maybe buy a winger like reus id prefer him ova di maria

  1. Hopefully Vidal WILL be officially announced as a United player very soon because the longer this episode goes on, the more likely it is that Vidal will remain at Juventus, giving United yet another smack in the mouth over a big transfer.
I have to say though, that if Vidal is only being offered £120K per week then the deal will be off BUT add another £100k to that salary and Vidal will be on the next plane!!!

  2. such conflicting stories, who knows what to believe. From being offered 280k a wek to now it being written here that its 120k a week. Maybe we should stop listening to the rumours from that annoying paper in chile, which then start to feed the vultures in europe. Cause 99% of it all always turns out to be utter rubbish.

The Only thing concrete at this point in time is that Juve dont want to to sell him and they have stated that if he wants to stay, then Juve are more than happy and honoured to keep him. Meaning that they will not stand in a players way who doesnt want to play at Juve. And thats from an official interview with Marotta which indicates that 40 million, 50 million or 60 million offers for him will not make a difference to Juve.

  3. Absolutely no deal, just rummers but vidal would do better for vangaal’s midfield

  4. The possibility of Vidal at Man U is mouth watering, Mourinho will be shaking in his boots at the prospect of the midfield we will have, there are 3 more possibilities, Di Maria , Cuadrado and Reus, it would be of international standard with Mata Herrera vidal, and Cuadrdo, whom I think will be the best fit for Man U, then we need to sign Vermaelen now, Barca are circling, for the life of me I cannot see the hold up with signing him, he has said he wants to come, we already lost Devrij, there might be some secret, I believe they are reinventing their interest in Ron Vlaar, Hummels is not possible, Dortmund will not sell him
