Ben Arfa is a winger, we already have two good young wingers in the form of Nasri and Walcott. Ben Afa will cost about 20m as well and is he better than Nasri and what Walcott is going to be in a year?

All this talk of transfers from teams in millions of debt. I still don’t understand how football teams are allowed to run up huge debts funded by external pots of cash? If a company was funded by bill gates ‘for fun’ running up huge losses and debts leaving them in a situation where they aren’t self sufficient governments would go crazy! Liverpool don’t own torres he’s owned by a bank and if they don’t keep up their repayments bye bye. It looks as if arsenal and man utd are making their own money. I can see a black hole near the premiership i hope it doesn’t engulf the best league in the world!

If we buy Arshavin and Toure or Gallas then I think we should do that Bentner plus 5m swap for Upson, he’s a good defender, third best English central one. Having five strikers will be too much, particularly as all of them are getting better. I think it won’t be too bad for West Ham either as Bentner is only going to get better. We do, though, need a CM or a DCM desperately! Very desperately!
