The biggest news among january transfers till now- Robbie Savage(yes, the one with the ability to deliver the mother of all tackles) has left Rovers and joined Derby(the premiership’s current whipping boys). Thats one bit of news that will strengthen the Rams no doubt and also send out a clear message to the other strugglers. Only thing is he has to remain injury free……………

In response I’m more fed up with Berbatov. With all the transfer rumours flying about he has not had the guts to directly come out a say anything other than hint at wanting to leave by stating his tranfer value is to high (come and get me Alex!). C’mon it dosn’t take a genius to work out his heart is elsewhere and that Tottenham have been the ideal springboard to showcase his talent, but nothing more. As for Defoe he has repeatedly shown his loyalty and commitment to Spurs and I would rather see someone rung themselves ragged for the cause than a sulky wantaway that turns it on when he thinks some top club scout may be watching. I’d rather have a Defoe than five Berbatov’s anyday. Utd, give us the cash take him on and give Jermain the chance show us what he can do, finally.

I’m fed up with Defoe ! if he wants to stay at the club sign a new contract. If he’s good enough in trainig he’ll get starts. If he wants a guarantee of a regular start he should go be a big fish in a small pond not a average fish in a middle sized pond. The realities of the modern game dictate that teams must have a squad!
