Shaheen - I don't think Spurs need anymore signings. Over the last 4 seasons, I have seen more players come and go at the north-London club than any other club in the Premiership. It shows that they are capable of bringing in good players on the cheap but do not know how to utilize them and mould them into a great team. Look at Berbatov - he's great but I dont see him staying for another season.

What Spurs need is a good manager. Ramos is alright but will he be able to get the best out of his English players for example? I bet he will raid Spain and turn Spurs into another Liverpool, and they will surely struggle for another 5 seasons to gel into a unit.

All I am saying is that Martin Jol would have come good if it wasn't for all the players that were shoved into his teams over the last few seasons. He needed consistency - and that you can only achieve with a settled group of players.

Just a little example: Players coming and leaving Spurs in last 4 seasons - most of these players hardly stayed longer than 2 seasons - and that's absurd - (Danny Murphy, Mbulelo Mabizela, Edgar Davids, Callum Davenport, Mido, Pamarot, Andy Reid, Etherington, Rasiak, Reto Ziegler, Michael Carrick, Timothee Atouba, Nourredine Naybet, Sean Davis, Pedro Mendes, Erik Edman)

And tell me, what is up with Spurs and their tendency to mess up British young players - where is Wayne Routledge? Simon Davies and Matt Etherington were on their way to becoming stars when they came from Peterboro? Andy Reid deserved a better chance and so did Sean Davis.

Bottomline is - Spurs do not know what they want. They should be lucky that teams happen to sell them players on a cheap - (Leverkusen for example would have released Berbatov for nothing less than 20 million if Man Utd had come calling - Spurs got him for 10 million). Anyway Comolli and company should stop treating Spurs like a PlayStation game and get a good English Manager instead for crying out loud. They cant keep recycling players forever!

Xavi to spurs yea right..he is one classy player and ranks with scholes and fabrigas in being the heart beat of the team. Unfortunately with barcelona having so many individual stars his contribution goes unnoticed.

with regards to spurs - a lot depends on the berbatov situation. i, for one, feel it is almost certain he will leave by the summer. the question is - do they stick with the 3 or get a 4th?

they def need at least 1 quality CB - king is forever injured. A left winger (bale should be playing LB where he is more effective - even from an attacking viewpoint). A quality CM as well - they have these average holding CMs (like zokora and Hudd) and some headless chickens (like jenas) but no creativity from CM and thats also a factor.

So, most urgent are a quality CB and winger. If theres some still left over, a creative CM
