With all the domestic campaigns done and dusted, it is time for every club to focus on the transfer market and improve their chances of doing well next season.

Although the transfer window officially opens on the 1st of July, almost every club has started working on their deals and new signings are being confirmed every day. Here at Soccerlens, in our daily transfer news roundup column, we will bring you the latest stories from over the last 24 hours.

Manchester United confident of landing Gareth Bale

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho is confident of sealing a world record transfer for Gareth Bale this summer.

The Real Madrid winger has been a target for the Premier League giants over the last few seasons and was close to joining them before Real Madrid.

According to reports from Spain, Manchester United are preparing a 94.6 million pounds bid for the Welsh winger and are confident about securing his services.

Bale has been a standout player for Real Madrid over the last year and it is highly unlikely that Perez would sanction a transfer regardless of the fee. Cristiano Ronaldo is nearing the end of his peak and Real Madrid will want Bale to fill that void in near future.

Manchester United are in desperate need of wingers and that was highlighted by Louis Van Gaal as well.

Vardy turns down Arsenal move

Leicester City striker Jamie Vardy has turned down a move to Arsenal this summer. The England striker has refused to undergo a medical at the North London club after the Gunners activated his release clause.

Arsenal legend Ray Parlour has also confirmed that Vardy has called off the move after some thinking during the international duty.

He said: “I was at the Arsenal the other day and there were big reports flying around, and the club’s cameramen and digital staff had to get down to the training ground.”

“So it looked like it was going to happen – there was a medical being done.”

“But it seems Vardy thought about it while on England duty, and suddenly there was a U-turn.”

The 29 year old striker scored 24 goals last season as he helped his side to Premier League glory. Arsene Wenger decided to activate his release clause in order to strengthen Arsenal’s attack, but it seems that Wenger might to assess other alternatives now.

Conte delaying Musonda exit

Real Betis are looking to sign the Chelsea youngster Charly Musonda on loan for another season.

The La Liga club signed him on loan during the second half of last season and the Belgian winger impressed a lot. They were keen on signing him permanently but Chelsea are not willing to sell and will consider a loan again this season.

Betis president has now confirmed that they are in talks to sign the player on loan but the move is being delayed because of Antonio Conte’s involvement in the Euros.

He said: “Chelsea have hired a coach, who is also a national team coach and that makes things go a bit slower than we would like.”

“We all want him to continue with us and we are waiting for Chelsea to take the decision. He is a fringe player, it’s not easy. However, we are optimistic, because the player himself has already told us that he’d like to continue with us. We are optimistic, although it is clear that everything has a limit.”
