Manchester City eyeing a up a move for Victor Valdes

Valdes was released from his Manchester United contract this summer and the Spaniard could end up signing for their bitter rivals Manchester City.

The former Barcelona star is a target for Pep Guardiola and could replace Willy Caballero at Etihad next season.

Guardiola has worked with Valdes before and the duo have a great working relationship. Furthermore, Valdes is well aware of Guardiola’s philosophy and will be a very useful presence in the dressing room in terms of helping other player’s adjust to Pep’s methods.

Also, his winning mentality and experience could prove to be priceless for the Premier League giants.

Valdes joined Manchester United with a knee injury and never really kicked on after falling out with the then Red Devils manager Louis Van Gaal. He was then loaned out to Standard Liege, where he failed to make a lasting impression as well.

Bayern Munich target Zlatan Ibrahimovic has agreed personal terms with Manchester United and a medical will be completed once the player is done with his international commitments.

The Swedish striker is away with his country for the Euros and will finalise his transfer once the tournament is over.

Ibrahimovic scored 50 goals for PSG last season and helped them win the French League. The 34 year old forward will be expected to do the same at Old Trafford next season.

Both Mourinho and the player were looking forward to a reunion after their time at Inter Milan and it seems that their wish will be fulfilled soon.
