Toure out, Diakhate in at Arsenal?

According to reports, Arsenal could be set for a £10m move for Dynamo Kiev defender Pape Diakhate.

The Gunners could be looking to make the center of defense a priority in January. William Gallas was being heavily linked with an exit after losing his captaincy, and even though he could be set to stay now, center partner Kolo Toure could be on his way out due to a bust-up with Gallas that has him aching for a move away.

Toure’s desires to leave will certainly alert Manchester City, who could try to make him one of what could be several January signings.

As for Diakhate, he had an impressive Champions League campaign for Dynamo Kiev, and the 24-year-old has 24 caps for Senegal. He’s been linked with the likes of Chelsea, Juventus, and Bayern Munich in the past, and Arsenal’s impending sale of Toure could leave them as frontrunners for his signature ahead of Manchester City.
