I think they might be stuck with him. As we saw yesterday, they don’t have a very deep team, and they’ll need firepower off the bench (Benayoun can’t do it all). Clearly, Benitez isn’t high on him. Otherwise, he wouldn’t have loaned him out last year. However, sometimes you have to play the hand you’re dealt, and Benitez might not have any other choice.

We were crap but if we beat Stoke on Weds we will be 2 points better off than the same results last season – way too early to write us off. We missed Alonso’s passes linking up the midfield with attack – Torres looked frustrated to say the least.
