Tottenham sign Corluka from City

Tottenham have signed Croatia defender Vedran Corluka from Manchester City on a 6-year deal for 8.5m.

The 22-year-old defender began his career at Dynamo Zagreb before joining City in 2007 where he made 41 appearances in all competitions.

Corluka’s move to White Hart Lane was apparently agreed some time ago with Manchester City waiting to bring in adequate reinforcements before letting the defender go to Tottenham.

Corluka will do great at Tottenham, I’m sure of it, plus with Modric on board Ramos can at least count on the pair settling in quickly as they’re great mates.

This leaves Spurs with at least one more signing – either a striker or a midfielder (or both) and probably one or two sales (with Berbatov the most likely exit).
