Tottenham made easy pickings off the German side Werder Bremen as defender Younes Kaboul scored off an Aaron Lennon cross, Luka Modric scored when Peter Crouch headed a ball to him to volley home after a long ball from midfield and finally, RoboCrouch scored himself after some cheeky footwork from Aaron Lennon.

Of course, early in the second half, Spurs’ and England’s new darling Gareth Bale missed a penalty. Nonetheless, Spurs now sit on top of the Group A on goal difference.
