Paul Ince sacking decision from Blackburn was a little unfair I think. He has spent just six months as manager and the good results weren't what fans expected, wich demanded his dismissal. This a little unfair because Ince needed more patience and trust from them. Any job requires patience and after the good results would come.

Andrei - Jewell is an excellent manager, but he's currently working in the Premiership, not the Football League (even though his side are virtually in the Football League at this point :-)). As such, I didn't want to consider him - I would rather look at managers who have yet to manage in the Premier League but could yet make the step up. Another reason why I wasn't too keen to write about Boothroyd, although I feel Boothroyd's work is notable for other reasons.

What about Paul Jewell? He seems to be a realy good manager despite the fact that he is coaching Derby.

I was a big fan of Adams as a player, and he may well make a good manager one day. However, at this juncture his record is appalling compared to that of the other candidates: he took Wycombe down in his first season at the club (undoing the work of the likes of Martin O' Neill, ironically!) and has yet to take on another managerial job. As such, I think I'm justified in leaving Adams out.

defo not boothroyd, the turgid stuff he plays at watford suggests that he lacks the footballing acumen needed to succeed(ie;win something)in the premier league.
