I have to agree with Jay... Yes Nakamura is good at taking the free kick but it is the scottish league. (not to knock the league down) The premier league is on a faster pace which requires to think faster and make near perfect pass/runs to successfully run the offense. Tim Cahill and Park Ji Sung should be taking up spots #1 and #2. Tim Cahill is just brilliant and Park Ji Sung was a regular with the likes of Ryan Giggs, Paul Scholes, C. Ronaldo, and Michael Carrick playing for United. If "Ji" still remains a regular with the upcoming season with the addition of Anderson and Hargreaves, I say he should pass Tim Cahill on the #1 list... (That is alot of great midfielders he has to compete with)

What the hell is talking about this?
Every player has been taken different expectation by their position. So, this article should've picked up by their role. Actually, Nakamura is not the best one in Asia, I am not underestimating his special kick ability, but Scottish League is not the top league, I mean if Naka could play in Spain or Italy, he definitely couldn't get any chance of the fucking freekick! How dare he could be compared with English Premier leaguer! Such as Cahill or Park. That is really bullshit. Even he couldn't get any goal in World cup or Seria A, by free kick. You guys know what? Most of Japanese players go to Italian Seria A by Japanese company's marketing. Nakamuara and Nakata are the examples. But Nakata was good at in Seria A and Nakamura had decided to leave for Scottish League, cause he could not get the opportunity for playing in the League. Fortunately, his decision was right and now he is successful, but nobody knows about Nakamura in England. That is the difference of world class and normal player. Evne many people know Chinese player in Man Utd,though, he never playes.
Running in world class team is really difficult, this fact that writer should have known before he wrote.

How does anyone in that list (especially Ji Sung Park) better than Tim Cahill?

Of all the players listed in this list, Ji Sung Park (or Park Ji-Sung as we call him in Korea) definitely deserves to be in a top five Asian player list. I understand that we're all affected by our biases, and that certainly applies to me as well, but what makes Park Ji Sung ineligible for such a list of ranked players? He was instrumental in Manchester United's progress in both the quarter-finals and semi-finals of the Champions' League last campaign. The fact that he was omitted came as a shock to many outside Korea. He's also helped PSV Eindhoven reach the last four during his stint in Holland (in 2005). Since 2006 he's deservedly earned a Premiership medal (he wasn't the most instrumental and key player but he did what was required of him). If Park doesn't make this list, who in God's green earth does?

Javad Nekounam IS NOT a defensive-minded player, he plays Attacking mid, but is force to play defensively. Also how about Mahdavikia or Andranik Teymourian or or Masoud Shojaei or Ashkan Dejagah?

Australia is part of the AFC. Now let's pretend your comments never existed (or that Eddie chose Akram over the significantly better Mahmoud. Not to mention the fact that Iraq couldn't even get out of the first group of AFC qualifiers).
