I personally think Adrian Mutu is an immense talent, and as a Juventus supporter myself I find it a shame the Turin club was utilizing him as a right winger, because his true role is that of a second striker. With that said, he played well and accepted his new modified role when called into action. Despite Mutu's talent though, there is no one on the Romanian team that has achieved the peaks set by Gheorghe Hagi. The 'Maradona of the Carpathians' was truly amazing, I remember his wonder goal at USA 94 distinctly. Such a shame that his Euro 2000 adventure ended with that nasty foul on Antonio Conte.
