Despite being a lifelong spurs fan, i don't see them finishing in the top 5. Even top 10 seems to be a struggle for them at the moment when they couldn't beat 10 man everton AT HOME. Not judging them on that one game, but they've failed to impress so far this season. Lot of hard work to be done to make something of the season. I expect them to get dumped from UEFA cup pretty early as well. Hope they prove me wrong.

Of the teams mentioned above, I give newcastle no chance of a top 10 finish, Portsmouth may well turn out to be the dark horses of the current campaign. Everton will live up to their nickname of Neverton and fade away into 12/13th soon enuff. West ham have a decent team and i see them doing well.

Ive never liked bolton, mostly coz of spurs' record against them but i have to respect the team - top chance in my book of a top 10 finish.

tottenham 6th
sorry dan but gardner, davenport, dervitte and huddlestone are not a patch on king, huddlestone maybe one day.
if you had got downing i think you'd be looking at champions league next season.
Robinson will be a great keeper but he is young and very few keepers are good till late 20's at least.
believe it or not 6th is still pretty good spurs fans

west ham 5th
before they borrowed/signed tevez and Mascherano i felt they would do well again this season and the fact reo coker stayed can only be good.
will they be the next chelsea or a feeder club for chelsea though thats the question, although unlike chelsea they can fill a stadium

Spurs will be looking at finishing higher than most people think, look for Liverpool to strugle midseason,Man u great start but they are not built endure this tough seaon a head,Arsenal will come on strong it may be to late this year,Chelsea have to come together soon or they could find them selfs out of the CL and top two.

Muhammad Amin - to pick up on youre points

1.carrick is just 1 player, plus he wasnt that great anyway last year, his only asset was his set pieces. Whats dodgy about Robbinson, he is a quality keeper who has proved him self at spurs and as englands number 1 for 2 years.

2. We diddnt have a left winger last year, but now we have mallbronke, ziegler and taino who can comfortably play there.

3.Jenas scored 8 league goals last year. how about you 'take away the goals' from van nistleroy, how good will he be then!

4. we have gardner, davenport, dervitte and huddlestone who is back up to king.

Your predictions have a little bit of a London shade, you base your standings on the names in the squads, have you heard of S.Parker, Emre, Solano, Duff, Martins, Milner, N'Zongbia, Moore, Taylor, Carr, Given, not to mentioned Dier and Owen, I wonder where you would have placed spares if they were playing for them?

What an absolute load of tosh! Pompey aren't playing well you say?
Is your knowledge of pompey this season, limited to the 4 minutes edited match of the day highlights of the opening day win over blackburn?
The facts are..pompey could have beaten blackburn by 6 or 7 goals, they played some sensational stuff.
Boro away, 4-0 could have been 6-0.
I suggest you engage your brain before commenting about a team who have scored 7 goals, conceded none, and saying their not playing well.

Hmm... Spurs will stuggle this season:

1. Thier spine has been affected. Zakora still needs to prove he can replace Carrick. Robinson has been dodgy, not yet impressed by Berbatov.

2. No left winger.

3. Jol sven-ism on Jenas (apart from his goals, Spursplays with 10 men with him in the team)

4. No back-up to King.

MY VERDCIT: 8/9th

Newcastle will stugle defensively, but they are an attacking force with Duff and Martins

MY VERDCIT: 7th

Everton, to me is a very under-rated team. They have excellent midfielders in Cahill, Arteta and Osman, and great strikers in Johnson Beattie and McFadden. They also have a strong back 5. Howard, a reliable keeper behind a 10 million centreback partnership with two attacking fullbacks, Valente and Neville.

MY VERDICT: 5th

Portsmouth, a good squad with an excelletn manager.

MY VERDICT: 6th.
