But, yes, it's primarily an event to give those who may have slipped through the net a chance to get back into the game. I think although there's no age limits, it's within reason, so those who stand a chance of getting a pro contract. So for that reason, unless you're somebody like John Ryan, you're unlikely to get the chance to turn out for your team. Same with 8-year-olds. They're still at an age where football clubs are likely to snap them up and have yet to be offered a contract or rejected by clubs. So it's really those from 16 upwards, give or take a bit.
