Unless the MLS or the clobs owners will decide to pour money into these players. Also, If tht is the case, because of the 'Beckham Rule' wont there only be like 12 world-class players in America? Im not trying to be a cunt Brad but, really I cannot see the MLS Becoming a football-league 'giant', Now i think as bob said, we would rather watch the Championship the league has no real 'flair' or 'style', and if it does it has diffrent kinds, if you get me.. The MLS want South-Americans, mostly Brazilians to play in the league because they believe theyhave tricky skills like step-overs whatever... But they want European stars too, like Becks because of there 'world-recignition' or 'great-abillities'... The MLS will never beat out the likes of the NBA, NFL or Baseball, but the NHL is already behind the MLS. The Stanley Cup Finals last year was the lowest watched Championship ever. The MLS Cup brought in more viewers and more sponsorship sales than the NHL. Will it ever be as big as the NFL, MLB or NBA? Maybe, but I doubt it. But the NHL has been replaced.
