As for beckham, he is probably better known for tabloids than actually being a legendary midfielder. As mentioned in the zidane post, france could not do without him, evidently. 2002 world cup when zidane was injured france could not even score a goal. when zidane came back in 2006 he took the team to world cup final, a pity that he has to play against cheap italians. That IS how important and influential he is. Game-winning factor. Steven Gerrard?sorry epl watching ppl, there are simply better leagues than epl(la liga, bundesliga). Please stop being england-centric. If steven gerrard is such a legendary player, he could have won the game against germany, but he could not. Gerrard cannot be matched to zidane, that's it. Figo is a legendary player as well, the way he play, carry himself...England is the most overrated team, seriously.
