What pure-based club bias. Ferdinand is good for a howler once every 3 games while Terry has been consistantly solid. Neville is a great player but is nowhere near as passionate as or commited to being Captain then Terry - Gerrard is the only contender for that role. Bring beckham back? The goal for England is to win tournaments and not to continue going out in the quarters. Beckham has been heroic in the past but England cannot go all the way with a style so hamstrung by the likes of Beckham...and Crouch for that matter. The team and its style needs to be rebuilt now.
