So which club is in the worst situation? Spurs or Newcatle?

It has to be Newcastle as Spurs do not have board room problems.

But i say get Souness back and just maybe we might see some potential investors coming in.

How is it “press sensationalism” to report the ‘Cockney Mafia’ element of the protests? Is it not fair to assume that there is some level of dislike of Londoners, or southerners generally, as a result? Otherwise, why choose to highlight the fact that the subject of the protests are from London?

The “Cockney Mafia” that you refer to is aimed at Ashley, Wise, Llambias etc and is not meant to show any kind of hatred to Cockneys in general-but then again, you all know that to be the case, it’s just press sensationalism again.
On the Venables issue, put yourself in his shoes-if you were 65 and someone said here’s Â£Â£Â£Â£Â£Â£Â£Â£ for a few weeks work then you can be on your way again-would you consider yourself to be “Mad” to accept it? after all that’s exactly what it is-a few weeks work, it’s not like he’s going to take the job permanently.
Terry Venables is well respected in the Football world and where he was born would make no difference to the Newcastle fans.

I think Newcastle would be mad to take Venables…

then again, looking at their current state – 20k crowd at a home game against Spurs, losing that game, downward spiral, etc etc – Venables isn’t that bad in comparison.
