Ruud van Nistelrooy

Oh my Ruud – a fantastic striker with an insane ability to score goals. Was a Manchester United legend in the making before a spat with Ronaldo and differences with SAF led him to Real Madrid, where he proceeded to score 20+ goals, again, showing that despite the title, Manchester United still missed a player of Ruud’s class.

Forget what they say about Holland and Manchester United playing better without Ruud or Ruud not fitting their style of play – that’s all bollocks from people who allow managers to form their opinions.

Ruud van Nistelrooy can fit into any attacking system and is an excellent striker.

Manchester United in Transfer Wilderness

Yet another club strengthen their squad… (Bellamy joins Liverpool) Admittedly, Liverpool have suffered, selling one striker and losing another to a terrible injury, but the sight of 3 out of the top 4 (4 out of top 5 if you count Berbatov’s move to Spurs) improving their squads and adding young talent makes you more…

RVN and Ronaldo bustup last week?

Perhaps the greatest news of the day was the silence from Old Trafford on Ruud van Nistelrooy‘s fate. A decision on RVN’s fate was supposed to be taken within 48 hours of the Sunday match (before which, according to recent reports, RVN was asked to leave instead of leaving himself) and it was expected that…

RVN has left the building…

Daniel Taylor from the Guardian reports that: Talks between David Gill and Alex Ferguson confirmed worst fears – Ferguson does not want a player who is at odds with him. Manchester United are reputed to have put a 10 mil pound price tag on RVN. Ruud has been “asked” not to play in Keano’s testimonial…

Ruud van Nistelrooy

Like most stories at Old Trafford, Ruud van Nistelrooy’s journey had wonderful beginnings, capped by Alex Ferguson’s faith in his ability that saw United wait for RVN to recover from his injury before snapping him up for 18.5 million pounds. He repaid that debt in spades, scoring 40+ goals in the next two seasons, tallying…
