David Beckham

I’ve been told that I’m the biggest David Beckham fan people have ever met. I assure you that I don’t go gaga over his pics, but as a player he is everything you’d expect – extremely hard-working, talented, gives 110% every time and is flawed as well as simple genius.

Becks had an illustrious career with Manchester United before being kicked out by SAF and thrown Real Madrid‘s way, who then proceeded to shoot themselves in the foot by giving him a poor contract which led him to head towards LA Galaxy, where Becks will, in all likelihood, end his professional career.

He’s been excellent for England as well, both under Eriksson and under McClaren (who saw the light finally and picked him for the national team).

David Beckham: Professionalism Personified

David Beckham - The Ultimate Professional

As I watched him both before, during, and after the game tonight in Rome, one has to marvel at the professionalism of this man. David Beckham is the new face of Milan

Air Beckham landed yesterday in Milan. The move has been criticised by some who see it as a ‘glamour’ signing for Milan and a ‘fashion capital’ move for the Beckhams, but Beckham has always had his critics on and off the pitch, it’s the price that comes with being the most famous footballer on the…

Beckham and MLS – What’s The Verdict?

Earlier this season, David Beckham and the L.A. Galaxy played a series of barnstorming games in South Korea and China. Aside from England, Asia has been Beckham’s most rabid fan base since the 2002 World Cup was held there. In the first match against FC Seoul, the 65,000-seat stadium was only half full. Five years…

An American Werewolf (wishes he were) in London

America and soccer have never had much more than a tepid amateur relationship.  The paradox of this relationship resides in the fact that there are more soccer players in the United States than England, France, Argentina, Spain, and Brazil combined (FIFA.com).  If you ask anyone if they’ve played on a club team at some point…
