David Beckham
I’ve been told that I’m the biggest David Beckham fan people have ever met. I assure you that I don’t go gaga over his pics, but as a player he is everything you’d expect – extremely hard-working, talented, gives 110% every time and is flawed as well as simple genius.
Becks had an illustrious career with Manchester United before being kicked out by SAF and thrown Real Madrid‘s way, who then proceeded to shoot themselves in the foot by giving him a poor contract which led him to head towards LA Galaxy, where Becks will, in all likelihood, end his professional career.
He’s been excellent for England as well, both under Eriksson and under McClaren (who saw the light finally and picked him for the national team).
Real Madrid Rejects poised for Champions League Glory
Like so many of you out there I’ve long since lost all respect for Real Madrid and how they conduct their affairs. The malaise born out of the ‘presidential’ system seems to me to tarnish the clubs image rather than enhance it and the side effect that it channels through the media is, frankly, an…
The penalty shoot out lottery
I have followed England in the last six major tournaments we have played in stretching back to the European Championships held here on home soil in 1996. During that time we have failed to qualify once – in 2008 under McClown, but in the other six tournaments we have exited on penalties on all bar…

This rule has been called the “Beckham Rule” by many because it was originally created to allow MLS teams a way around the salary caps that were imposed by the league. This rule change signals how far the MLS has come and gives an indication of where the league is headed.
Beckham to miss his fourth appearance in the World Cup
David Beckham tore his Achilles tendon during AC Milan’s Serie A match against Chievo. This is just a blow for the club but it came as a devastating blow for Beckham as his chance to become the first player to appear for England in four FIFA World Cup finals is ruled out to injury. Nobody…

Landon Donovan’s hypocrisy
Sometimes in life we have the luxury of being able to say something, criticize people or change our views on things without anyone being able to point out the fact that we’ve changed our opinion of views. Sometimes we don’t even realise we’re going against our beliefs until we’ve carried out the act. Though unfortunately…
