Carling Cup

The league cup (or Carling Cup as the sponsors would have it) is often derided by top sides as a competition for the reserve sides, but it still important for a host of reasons, not least of which is the fact that it is a source of revenue and exposure for most clubs outside the top tier of the Premiership, and perhaps their only real chance of silverware.
