I can&#039;t see Downing leaving Boro for anything short of Â£12 million and then only to a team that GENUINELY offers a more realistic chance of honours than Boro. Tottenham are not that team. Neither are Villa. Liverpool have a massive hurdle of mistrust and dislike (see Antony Vickers blog on Steve Gibson vs Liverpool to understand that history) to overcome before Downing would go there and as yet there is no interest from any other (real) big club.
