		<description>Your assertion that Spurs have more chance of playing in Europe than Boro is wishful thinking. Spurs are a middle ranking club and offer no greater opportunity than he currently has at Middlesbrough, but without the draw that (1) it&#039;s his hometown club (2) it&#039;s the club that trained and nurtured his talent (3) the club don&#039;t want to or need to sell.

If you were talking about Arsenal, Chelsea or Man U, or some other big European club, that might be hard for Downing to turn down, but Tottenham - I don&#039;t think so.</description>
