Sportingo Acquires CaughtOffside

My good friend Chris Toy, owner of Caught Offside (the blog that brings you the world of football bare naked with a pinch of salt) has sold his soul to Sportingo in exchange for a chance at footballing immortality.

Personally, I wasn’t a big fan of Sportingo before this acquisition – and I’m still not too impressed by them – but I know Chris and we share more or less the same views for how football media should be and what can be done to improve the current situation.

You guys might not know this but Chris and me go back to last year when we started chatting about footie news and how to promote our blogs better. Those were the days when we were all dependent on NewsNow (although we wouldn’t dare admit it in public 🙂 ).

Time flies, and now Chris is chief editor (and cheerleader) of Sportingo and yours truly is setting up his own football empire. We’ve got different ways of going about it but at the end of the day we both want to dominate the football news industry and I think there’s plenty of scope for both of us to collaborate.

Congratulations Chris, and good luck. You know that COS and Sportingo combined couldn’t beat the SL empire, right? 🙂
